the great thing about tumblr is that you can meet people you'll vibe with on a level you have never vibed with anyone before and the tragedy about tumblr is that they almost certainly will live in another country
Never a dull moment, honestly.
So... the police just left.
We have a family friend, she lives in the same town as my dad, but on the other side of the town, while my dad's place is like a hundred yards away from the bus stop. She works in a different town. So she'd come to my dad's place before a shift, let herself in - we have an electric gate, she has her own remote - store her bike in our garage, go to work, come back, pick up her bike, go home.
Just after 11pm, my dad I were already in PJs when we heeard the gate open - yeah, okay, she's here. A moment later she knocks on the window "ha-ha, very funny, where's my bike?"
So... my dad got home from work around 4pm. She left the gate open. My train got in at 5:15, another family friend came to pick me up, so I got home at around... 5:20-25.
Between these two times someone must have sneaked in, walked past the front door - the garage is behind the house -, opened the garage (the key is always in the lock, but it's not silent) and left with the bike.
So the police was notified at like 11:30, two officers came to check the place, and now everyone's a nervouse wreck.
Also, I escorted/followed the officers to the garage while my dad stayed inside, and one of the officers asked me my dad's name, but not mine.
The bike apparently was found during the night, but I don't know any details yet.
Reblog and put in the tags if you can remember where you got the shirt you're currently wearing.

rewatching Mamma Mia! and just. itâs so perfect in itâs imperfection. people are sweating and their hair is messy and the makeup is minimal and the older people have wrinkles and also look hot and the costuming is chaotic and perfect and the actors were a little tipsy and they mess up lines and arenât always perfectly on pitch and some of them are clearly not singers or dancers but they look like theyâre having so much fun and I really believe that theyâre on a greek island thatâs the site of Aphroditeâs fountain and god itâs just a perfect movie.
Curious what is actually normal for bed time. Go for your normal/average time, not your most extreme or what you wish it was.
what time do you go to bed? (local time)
7pm or before
8pm
9pm
10pm
11pm
12am
1am
2am or after
it's never consistent
some other time entirely
I just don't know what grownups do for bedtime and I want to know!!!
I lowkey hate my relationship with money.
I'm visiting a friend abroad soon. Will the plane ticket cost a pretty penny? Yeah. Will it put a significant dent into my savings? No. Will I ever be able to buy a home, no matter how diligently I save? (Sad laughter.) No. Will I still feel bad about spending that money on myself? Yeah.
I think it also doesn't help psychologically that I've only gotten paid twice so far this year. I'm due to a payout next week, and another is likely this month, but still.
I felt... compelled

Fanfic babble, because I feel like talking:
There's that drabble of mine where the woman who does Stoick and Hiccup's laundry finds Astrid's shirt in their washing. Now, all the commenters (well, the whole two or three of them, but, I mean, that's normal for a drabble) went delightfully crazy that hey, the kids got caught red handed.
But to be fair?
A whole ass shirt is not that easy to misplace. You'd definitely notice it missing. Especially if you're losing that shirt while you're doing something you shouldn't be doing. So as I see it, there must have been some entirely innocent explanation for why the shirt ended up there--so innocent in fact that Hiccup and Astrid didn't even think about how it would look.
HOWEVER
There is Snowed In, a one-shot of mine, where Astrid spends the night at the Haddock house due to a snow storm. It's from Stoick's POV, and by the time he gets home, Hiccup and Astrid 1, got there after getting caught in the rain 2, changed clothes (with Astrid wearing Hiccup's) 3, were there, unsupervised, for an unknown lenght of time. If any mischief happened, well, it's happened then :P
...And none of the people commenting caught that.
iâm such a âi want your attentionâ but âdonât wanna bother youâ kinda person
I slept in. I woke up just after 5am, decided it was still too early to start the day, put my head back down, and woke up again at 8:30am. I don't have anything prepared for lunch, not do I have the mental capacity to decide what to have. What I do have is the last 10-ish pages of this translation project, and I'm crazy enough not to eat until I finish this.
What are you like in real life? Well. There's the part where I'm certain a book, a notebook, and a laptop are never far from you. An eye roll, affectionate or otherwise, is always on the table. Depending on time of day, you're either returning or leaving for a run. A nice bottle of wine or HTTYD merchandise can go a long way.
Well... yeah, those things I usually keep close :'D I don't think I'm prone to rolling my eyes. Running... I don't do that as often as I should. Wine, I'm actually not that big on? I mean, there are three bottles of the stuff on the kitchen counter, have been there since December--I meant to make mulled wine, but they haven't been touched since. (People would gift my dad wine, but he can't drink alcohol, and it's usually dry or semi-dry, which *I* don't like much, so it accumulates.) Httyd merchandise... yeah, I won't deny that XD
