Democrats could invoke the 14th amendment to disqualify the Gonad Lump from holding public office ever again, but it is all but guaranteed to fail from the start. For one, even though seven Republicans joined the Democrats to convict him in the senate, thereâs no way in hell any of them would vote to invoke the 14th amendment; in their eyes, he has been proven innocent. Even though a healthy majority said he was guilty, because it wasnât 2/3 that means heâs legally innocent, and any attempts to mark him guilty via the 14h amendment would be a form of double jeopardy; sure we wanted to convict, but he was acquitted, so that means heâs innocent and canât be tried again.
So it would be 50-50 in the Senate, which means 0-100 because the Republicans would filibuster and prevent it from ever coming to a vote in the first place. It would take 60 votes to invoke it this way, which is more than 57 and much more than 50.
And even if by some miracle it somehow went through, and Kamala Harris casting the tie-breaking vote, the Supreme Court would just overturn it. After World War I, an Austrian-American socialist published an opinion piece that America shouldnât have gotten involved in the war. Congress decided this meant he was an insurrectionist and a traitor, so barred him from taking his seat in 1920, but the Supreme Court threw it out in 1921, reinstating him. I canât imagine the 6-3 conservative court would allow Congress to invoke the 14th amendment against their golden goose. Theyâre protectionist, they wonât let anything bad happen to him.
Itâs lose-lose. If Democrats donât do anything further, Trump gets off scot free and public opinion turns in his favor. If they try to do anything, the corrupt system will undermine them and get Trump off scot free anyway, again turning public opinion in his favor. Catch-22, damned if they do, damned f they donât.
Our only hope is that the divide in the Republican party holds until 2024, which it wonât. Theyâll be united again in two weeks; everything moves at lightning speed now, nothing stays relevant for more than a month anymore. The anti-trumper Republicans will be censured and stripped of committee positions, and theyâll either fall back in line or be primaried out of office. There is no future where the quote-unquote âmoderatesâ wrest control of the party from the right-wing extremists, itâs just not gonna happen.
Republicans are the ride-or-die party of trump, theyâll suck his dick until heâs dead, then theyâll suck his ghostâs dick for the rest of time, like Reagan.

My school had its annual tournament yesterday...
Scary part though: One of the assistant instructors in my class was competing in Grand Champions men's division. His competition was younger than him (he's 47) so he was worried that his endurance compared to them. As I was waiting to spar, I was watching him spar a guy who was 25 at most. He was doing okay, it was only the first round. I looked away for literally one second to watch the reds sparring and when I looked back, our guy was lying on the ground and his opponent was walking away from him. At first I thought he got winded and passed out when I heard someone behind me say "oh my god he got kicked in the neck!" My friend next to me said "I think he knocked out". I felt like my heart stopped, I was so afraid for him. He started coming out of it and got up and sat down in the chair in his corner. The rules for Grand Champions were "Light-head-contact only". This not only hit A in the neck, but at full force. It was enough to get him disqualified. One of the moms in our class called our teacher who was out of town for the weekend to tell him what happened. He is pissed and so is our master who wanted to know this kids name, teacher and institute. I've seen this kid at tournaments and seminars before. He always looks and acts like he doesn't give a shit. He always keeps his hands down while sparring. After I was done, I went and talked with my Master. She told me that A was disoriented, couldn't remember what day or month it was. After I got home I texted my teacher and asked him how A was, he said he was regaining his memory and was going to be okay. What do you do after this?

Utah judge in Charlie Kirk shooting case rejects bid to disqualify prosecutors
