I know genshin isn’t doing this intentionally and didn’t mean for this but
Odette wearing some form of heel is semi historically accurate (this one is from around 1650)
Although today modern ballerinas wear point shoes, back when ballet was just formed people would simply wear heels. The modern point shoe wasn’t invented until around the late 19th century
This practice really ended with the invention of the ballet slipper in the 1730s. It’s not a stiletto but it still has a heel.
Also ballerinas for a long time have also been associated with exploitation. The average ballerina didn’t make enough to survive so they would turn to sex work.
Oddly one could argue that odette turning to the fatui for work could be a call back to how the ballerina was often exploited. Having to sell her body and skill to this military organization in order to survive does semi mirror the historic reality of many ballerinas
Also the skirt length isn’t that inaccurate. Althought of course genshin likes to make things too short. We do see similar length in the past
Here’s a photo of ballerinas from a Russian troupe in 1898
I’m not defending genshin I just want to talk about ballernias

♡ I played a lot of Infinity Nikki today because I've been neglecting the home construction part of the game. I ended up dyeing a bunch of pieces to make a suit based off of Barbie's Swan Lake. Fun facts... I played Swan Lake in a symphony once... and that was my last concert before getting on the train for the medical school application 🥲
