feat. my dog willow ^0^
is this a safe space to admit that i fucking hate the term "fujoshi" and wish nobody would use it, but think that you at least definitely shouldn't use it if you're cishetallo?
like no, actually, you can't call yourself a "rotten girl" for enjoying queer media and then say "nonono i'm not homophobic!!"
you might not be actively homophobic, but you're not showing the solidarity with the queer community that an actual ally needs to be.
using an inherently homophobic term to describe a very normal enjoyment of media that just HAPPENS to be queer is not cute. at all.
and this "fujoshi" takeover of queer fandom spaces is getting very scary. cishet women kicked a gay man out of a heated rivalry watch party at a bar recently. that's objectively insane.
cishet women need to GET IT INTO THEIR HEADS that queer media/bl is NOT for them, even if it was made by another cishet woman. no matter who creates the media, it's still queer, and it's not MADE FOR cishet people. PERIOD. if it was made for cishet people, it's fetish content and therefore gross - not for being fetish content, but for fetishising queer people - and we should all try to avoid that like the plague.
anyways. lmk y'all's thoughts, i really do want to understand other povs but i can't see why one would want to even use that term.
- sets preferences to filter out fics with fem!reader -
my feed: 60% fem!reader fics... just with a warning on SOME of them 🫠
maybe this is a non-problem and i'm just being dramatic, but i literally can't scroll through my feed in peace. every other post on my feed has a warning about it having a fem!reader tag on it (so why would tumblr even give me that content??), and out of the ones left, at least half end up being fem!reader anyways, just with no tag or warning specifying the gender of the reader... but constant uses of "good GIRL" and "baby GIRL" or "WIFE" every other word.
maybe this shouldn't piss me off as much as it does. but i honestly don't care at this point. why is half of my feed content i've blocked?? am i stupid? missing something?
idk. i'm deeply confused and pretty annoyed now.
