I enjoy the legend of korra pilot episode. I think it establishes her personality, the problems she’s going to face (equalists, and the way gangs of benders Are taking advantage of non-benders), and how those things impact the people around her. it shows how out of touch and naive she is when she first arrives. we meet Tenzin, a peep of his personality, establish the state of the Air nation, see how Korra was raised. we see the state of republic city, we meet Lin and learn Toph’s legacy. a moment of old lady Katara being supportive. brief shot of the big bad! it establishes pretty much everything we’re going to encounter in the season and we have some fun jaunty tunes along with it. hooray
