love the idea that kelsang honed his fake-firebending technique by watching his fucking cat. the lionhawks use fire to drive prey out of hiding and into a waiting ambush. so when meow is on kelsang's shoulder helping him "firebend," kitty just assumes he's helping his poor human hunt. meow's version of bringing him lizards or whatever.

I think Kelsang tried at one point to train Meow not to dig his claws into Kelsang's skin and stay on his robes, but gave up eventually and now just has several scars on his shoulders where Meow held on too tight.

Since the spirit world changes with the avatar and Kelsang was able to enter the spirit world, do we think he entered the spirit world after Kuruks death to try and meet him again just so see that everything has changed, just like the world has moved on from Kuruk?
