It was hard to find the Great Uniter or the Commander anywhere else that wasn’t a war room or the train speeding through the soon to be reunited Earth Kingdom. Were it coordinating the troops or plan their next expedition, there wasn’t much time the two benders spent out in the open, not on the height of the campaign.
Yet sometimes, when the demands of leadership and of appearances became too much to bear, neither high command nor the rest of the soldiers could seem to be able to find them.
Then again, those who did know Kuvira and Khayra wouldn’t be at all surprised to see them in the last place someone would ever bother to check. Maybe out in the streets of the capital, checking the progress in the city.
Or maybe in the old barns once belonging to the royal family, taking a well-earned rest against a slumbering Hakim, who always made sure no one could come too close to disturb.
