ᴛʜɪɴɢꜱ ᴛᴏ ꜱᴄʀɪᴘᴛ: ᴡʀɪᴛᴇʀ
ะ Whatever you write with: a pen, keyboard, typewriter, tablet or phone, feels perfectly tuned to you and your own personal madness. Each word lands with the cadence you wanted.
ะ Whether you’re sitting in a cafe, at home, or jotting down ideas in your notes app while running errands, or because you’re bored in class, the space you write in feels uniquely inspiring.
ะ Your drafts unfold with a satisfying kind of clarity, the story knows where it’s going and you enjoy discovering it.
ะ Every stage of writing feels meaningful and exciting: outlining, first drafting, revising, polishing, publishing and pr.
ะ The tools you use always cooperate; smooth ink flow, steady cursor, reliable saves, crisp paper, peaceful resources (cough ‘word hippo’).
ะ Editing feels like refinement, not erasure. Each change reveals more of what your story was always meant to be.
ะ When you research, you find exactly the right details that make your worlds feel alive and your facts feel fated.
ะ You feel deeply secure in your creativity, sharing your work feels joyful. The imposter feeling doesn’t visit, you write with the conviction of someone who knows they belong in a multiverse of stories.
ะ Feedback and collaboration come from the right people in ways that are encouraging, insightful, and aligned with your artistic values.
ะ If you work with an editor, they understand your voice completely. Your agent champions your vision with heart and integrity, your publisher or platform uplifts your stories with care and respect for your craft.
ะ Your work is always protected, your drafts stay safe, your notes stay secure, and your ideas never get stolen or misused.
ะ Your books, poems, or stories find exactly the right audience who feel seen, inspired, and changed by your words. Your communities and readers get your work, the ones who highlight sentences, and murmur it to themselves.
ะ People rave about your writing with genuine excitement. Even the toughest critics hold begrudging respect for you; they find themselves thinking about your work longer than they’d ever admit.
ะ Your stories feel alive. When you reread them, you feel proud, heartened, and deeply connected.
ะ Whether you write freely on AO3, publish through an indie press, self-publish, or see your name on a New York Times bestseller, your passion always shines through.
ะ You are naturally talented and can write any genre you choose. Your vocabulary is massive, and you can always convey your thoughts and ideas through your writings. Endless inspiration and ideas arrive when it’s needed.
Whimsical mod / Quality of life:
ะ Autocorrect knows your intentions, even on paper. ะ Your drink always stays the perfect temperature; you resurface from a writing frenzy to find your coffee still hot, your tea still warm, your water still cold. ะ Time bends kindly around your writing sessions; you can write for hours and still have energy, still get enough rest, still meet every other part of your life without stress. ะ The weather syncs to your scenes, drizzle for heartbreak, golden hour for softness, thunderstorm for the plot twist. ะ Your playlists are telepathic, shuffle always lands on the exact song that matches your current paragraph. ะ You can write for hours without sore wrists, back pain, or the “I’ve been hunched over for six hours” regret. ะ Privacy and quiet arrive the moment you need them; distractions hush themselves. ะ Writer’s block turns into incubation; even when you step away, your stories keep unfolding behind the scenes. ะ The perfect metaphor shows up on demand and sentences click together like puzzle pieces finding home. ะ Your brain becomes a vault, good lines never escape. That one brilliant idea you had in the dream of a dream? still there in the morning. ะ Your files are enchantment-protected; drafts back themselves up, formatting behaves; lost pages and corrupted documents are a myth. ะ Your pens never run dry, notebooks never fill too soon, devices never overheat. ะ Your dreams double as storyboarding sessions: you can lucid dream scenes, explore your worlds, and come back with details already waiting. ะ Random readers make fan edits, playlists, and art inspired by your work unprompted, out of love for your worlds. ะ Finishing a project feels like a quiet festival of relief and pride. Your creative energy regenerates instantly after sharing your work, you don’t get burnt out or vulnerability hangovers.

AUTHOR DR
When I look back to the day we met, I still see my favorite love story.
Romantic subplot idea for a DR book:
-Two people are in love
-He’s a sailor (you see where this is going)
-She has a weak constitution
-They get engaged
-His ship goes down on a routine trip
-She believes he somehow miraculously survived but also gets slightly sick
-Some of his belongings wash up on the shore, proving that he most likely died
-She grows rapidly worse and dies
-They bury her in her wedding dress—she has one to attend in the afterlife
-Turns out, she was right and he did survive and he shows up
-He discovers that she’s dead and tries to mirror the ballad that she’d always sing (did I mention that they’re folk musicians? All of my characters end up being so) Annachie Gordon (I highly recommend listening to it, the best version is as usual by Loreena McKennitt, it’s the greatest song of all time in my opinion) and kisses her corpse in hopes that his heart shall turn to stone—unfortunately for him, it does not.
-The dead fiancée’s sister has to console him in his grief—especially since he’s now suicidal but he’s needed (probably some rebel group…?)
-Plot twist! The sister has been in love with him this whole time so now she’s dealing with all sorts of emotions.
-Did I mention that she sewed the wedding dress? Meaning that she sewed a dress for her sister’s marriage to the man that she herself loved and then buried her in it. This dress will haunt her a lot.
