another day another shift 🩺

one thing about the shifting community that genuinely bothers me is the way some people react to older shifters who want to shift as teenagers or even children.

it's like some people's minds immediately jump to the worst possible conclusion. suddenly it's "weird," "creepy," or "problematic" without any room for nuance.

before you decide to cancel someone over the age they choose in a dr, maybe remember that not everyone makes that choice for bad reasons.

some people never really had a childhood. some were bullied. some experienced abuse. some grew up in poverty. some spent their teenage years trying to survive instead of actually living them. and some simply never got to have a normal adolescence.

wanting to experience those years differently doesn't automatically make someone suspicious.

i also think this community has become way too comfortable judging strangers based on almost no context. people act like they're constantly monitoring everyone else's drs and trying to decide what's "acceptable" or not, as if it's their job to inspect someone else's personal experiences.

instead of focusing so much on what complete strangers are doing in their own drs, maybe spend that energy on your own journey. not every thought needs to become a discourse, and not every person's dr is yours to analyze.

i SWEAR if i have another moment where i have the craziest sense of deja vu im gonna crash out.

i looked at my friend the otherday and FREAKED out because she had the wrong eyecolour.

not even joking.

i thought she had hazel / greeny brown eyes.

no, she has BRIGHT BLUE EYES??

since WHEN?

i believe i mustve shifted to an alternate reality where thats the only difference because the fear that ran through me was so fucking real

so shifters who see this...its definitely real
