Mesa Verde National Park (No. 21)
The Cliff Palace Overlook is the first stop 6-mile (10 km) Cliff Palace Loop Road. Recent studies reveal that Cliff Palace contained 150 rooms and 23 kivas and had a population of approximately 100 people. Out of the nearly 600 cliff dwellings concentrated within the boundaries of the park, 75% contain only 1-5 rooms each, and many are single room storage units. If you visit the Cliff Palace overlook you will view an exceptionally large dwelling which may have had special significance to the original occupants. It is thought that Cliff Palace was a social, administrative site with high ceremonial usage.

The burial field in Valsgärde outside Uppsala in central Sweden contains more than 90 graves from the Iron Age.
Interesting. The feathers managed to survive in what had to be less than optimal conditions. Very lucky for us.
A BĂĽkkábrányi pĂ©ldány a Kr. e. III. századra keltezhetĹ‘.

¿Idolos? Copán, Honduras, 2002.
Like most Mayan archaeological sites, Copán is fascinating and unknowable, at least to me. I think these figures are ideograms, elements of the written language and survivors of an inscription on a structure rather than idols or gargoyles per se, but that remains for an expert to determine.
Régészeti Adventi kalendárium 2019 /11. “ablak”: Szirmabesenyő-Hegy alatti földek-dűlő
A múzeum munkatársai 2019. november 18.
JelentĹ‘sebb leletanyaggal a nĂ©gy objektum rendelkezett.  A rĂ©gĂ©szeti jelensĂ©gek betöltĂ©sĂ©re jellemzĹ‘ a szĂĽrkĂ©s barna agyagos humusz, nĂ©hol paticcsal, faszĂ©nnel keverten.
Az eddigi kutatások alkalmával a lelĹ‘hely, dĂ©lnyugati kevĂ©sbĂ© intenzĂv lelĹ‘hely rĂ©szĂ©t Ă©rintettĂĽk, melyet a gödrökbĹ‘l kikerĂĽlt leletanyag mennyisĂ©g is alátámasztani látszik. A telepĂĽlĂ©s szerkezetĂ©re vonatkozĂł eddigi következtetĂ©seket azonban fenntartásokkal szĂĽksĂ©ges kezelnĂĽnk a lelĹ‘hely mozaikos feltárása következtĂ©ben Ă©s a rĂ©gĂ©szeti megfigyelĂ©s során tapasztalt lelĹ‘helykárosodás miatt.
A gödrökbĹ‘l kikerĂĽlt leletanyag egy rĂ©sze durva, aprĂł kavicsos soványĂtásĂş, de elĹ‘fordulnak fĂ©nyezett, kannelĂşrával dĂszĂtett töredĂ©kek is. JelentĹ‘s mennyisĂ©gben kerĂĽlt elĹ‘ korongolt kerámia valamint nĂ©hány grafitos töredĂ©k.
Az elsĹ‘dleges megfigyelĂ©seink alapján a feltárt leletanyag formai- Ă©s dĂszĂtĂ©sbeli jellemzĹ‘i alapján a jelensĂ©geket a kĂ©sĹ‘ bronzkor (Kr. e. 1400/1300-900/800) ill. a kora vaskor (Kr. e. 900/800-700) idĹ‘szakára datálhatjuk. Az adatokat a leletanyag mosását, Ă©rtĂ©kelĂ©sĂ©t követĹ‘en tudjuk pontosĂtani.
