ok hi hello i am submerged in love for the Carolina Hurricanes who just won the game that will send them to the cup final - i waited to answer this bc of life stuff but please know it made me so happy to see in my inbox. hi. thank you <333 this is so so sweet!! i was a very different person in many ways 15 years ago and i have been a turbo hater because of what happened with kane/toews (i deleted all of my kane/toews fic - there was a lot of it, they were my main ship), so i've been a turbo hater for 10 years. BUT. as much as the fandom pisses me off, i did also meet my wife through hockey fandom way back in 2013, she plays women's rec hockey and we did figure skating lessons together, and the carolina hurricanes are my #1 follow them forever to the ends of the earth team. all of which is to say, as time passes and i get older and seasons come and go and all that, i appreciate the past that wore its grooves into me, the memories i made, the friendships both kept and ended, all of that. and i am very happy that my fic made you happy. so thank you <3333
