im ngl ive had the thought when jervis get put into his arkham cell hes across from joker or something and jervis is like "i dont want to go among mad people" and joker responds with the "were all mad here" (and 100% joker doesnt even know who jervis even is yet so he doesnt know that was just the wrong thing to say) and jervis just fully Breaks Down, laughing hysterically at the bitter irony of it all and joker is either like "Oh sweet, hes already crazy! >:D" or hes like "...well if i knew itd be that easy id have saved that for later"

I do really like her mechanic getup but I’m not yet sold on her riddler costume. It doesn’t feel like hers.

If you guys have any suggestions or cool ideas. Also do you think riddlers should have purple in their designs? I’m personally on the fence about purple and green because it’s so joker. I don’t hate the color combo, just the villain it resembles. I feel like riddler would agree and try to steer away from purple and green.

Purple and black are cool but I’m very for the warm browns too.

Also is riddler a gold or silver gal in your opinion?

i hc that martians from war of the worlds are sortof like cave/land squids from mars

a common terrain feature on mars would be a large networks of very tight and porous caves. The martians have evolved inside them, adapted to squeezing through tight spaces, navigating efficiently through long webs of caverns, and clinging on to distant objects for precise movement with their tentacles

its not that they cant live on the surface. they can, but due to being unable to also move horizontally when outside (without any cave branches to climb on) their mobility is greatly impaired, and so they prefer the underground

in fact, most of the martians civillization is located underground, with cities forming large, hive-like artificial structures

What i really love about most riddler incarnations is that hes a rat. A wannabe. A 3rd league guy who desperately wants to "make it"

In the grand scheme of things, riddler isnt really that important. Hes just a guy with issues, a big brain and a inferiority complex

To me the best part is that he knows this, and yet he desperately pushes forwards. He wants to be important, he wants to matter and be recognized for his (agreeably) questionable actions. He will do anything it takes to prove that in the end, HE was the one!!!

That one riddler comic captured this yearning and personal struggle for validation so perfectly...

There is a riddler in all of us, wanting to bite and claw our way to the top one day, even if nobody believes us : (

what i really love about project hail mary is that grace and rocky are exemplaries of their entire species, carrying the responsibility of preserving not just cultures or even civillizations, but entire evolutionary branches that are humans and eridians

Imagine this pressure. Millions of years of evolution, and now the survival of the entire species is put in the hands of just 2 individuals that their people deemed to be the fittest ones to represent their kinds

They are fighting for their people in a pivotal moment of having to face against the great filter, equipped with the whole human and eridian cultural and scientific experience. Their missions are the culmination of all of their species advancements

Humans and Eridians had a long time to prepare, and now the universe is testing if its creations deserve to continue. If Grace and Rocky failed, it would simply mean that in the end humans and eridians werent worthy projects of evolution

Its raw, unforgiving natural selection. Its cruel, and yet this struggle is so beautiful

So Eridians use echolocation and sonography that allows them to hear through solid materials. And we know that Rocky can basically hear the whole Hail Mary without problems.

We don’t know much about planet Erid beyond the very basics, but planets that have iron core usually feature volcanic activity and therefore magma and other materials movement underneath the planet surface.

So considering this…

Do you think ancient Eridians ever lied down on the ground to listen to the voice of their planet? Keeping very still and waiting for a faint and distant sound from down below to reach them.

I would imagine that to be possible mostly near the volcanoes, where magma comes closer to the crust (planet surface). So do you think those ancient Eridians were coming to the fire breathing mountains to listen to planet’s songs?

Did they consider their planet alive in those long ago times? Maybe they worshipped it as their creator and parent? After all, their bodies are so similar to its. They sing to each other just as the planet sings to them from time to time.

Imagine Eridians’ one and only ancient god being the planet itself.

I think that Eridians are really into hide and seek. Its a popular sport among them, like football on earth

Since theyre used to being completely still for prolonged periods of time, have very keen hearing and can blend in a lot (even to each other) in the rocky landscape on erid, hide and seek has naturally became a widely enjoyed sport in their culture

Perhaps they have created a complex variarion of it as a competitive game? With teams and rules and popular championships...

I think their civillization likes it so much because its a game about patience and wit, which are values they came to hold in high regard due to their longevity and high mental capabilities
