Tumblr is apparently doing some crazy nonsense again, so it seems like a good time to remind everyone that Pillowfort.io is a new social media platform that aims to give users control of their content and how it’s seen and shared, as well as provide better communication tools to promote conversation and creativity. If this sounds good to you, you can donate $5 to our PayPal and you will receive a registration link the Friday after your donation. And if you decide the site isn’t for you, you can request a refund for up to three weeks after you sign up. (All money we receive through this process is going towards paying our hosting expenses and compensating our programmers.)
To reply to those who asked what pillowfort is - pillowfort.io is a Tumblr-like platform that has been growing of late. About a week ago, they discovered some major security issues and they took the page down to address those (and kudos to them to recognize the problem and addressing it head one), but they’ll be re-opening on either Tuesday or Wednesday this week (12/4 or 12/5). Both mod unforth and mod whistlingwindtree already have accounts there, and we will be cross-hosting MCU Kink Bingo round 3 on both platforms, so if you have a pillowfort account and are uncomfortable with posting your works to Tumblr, we strongly encourage you to consider pillowfort as an alternative platform. We’ll post more information and links once the site is back up and we can access that information.
