My computer just randomly stopped running Bluetooth and even digging into the internal files and forcing it to run the software isn’t working for some reason.
My child just randomly stopped eating, and even hitting them and yelling at them to eat isn't working for some reason.
You know I’ve cycled through like ten different snarky comments I could make in reply to this but frankly this comment (even if it’s some kind of joke) is so out of the ballpark from what I’m talking about that I fear your fundamental understanding of what im referring to isn’t even in the same zip code as the reality of the actual situation and I don’t know how to properly be funny in response to this because I’m so genuinely baffled.
have u tried killing and birthing your kid again?
I ran diagnostics and troubleshooting and the computer was fully capable of running the software and nothing was detected to be wrong with the hardware so I tried rebooting the software and changing its activation to manual instead of automatic because that was a common fix suggested on various windows 10 forums. I ended up fixing the issue by upgrading to windows 11 and forcing the software to run again once I’d done that. So no the hardware had nothing wrong with it and it was in fact a software issue and I do in fact know how to fix basic software issues by myself and my Bluetooth is working again perfectly. When did you get to know me and my computer so well that you know the problem better than I do?

i first wrote linux device & network drivers over a decade ago now. my day job involves herding tens to hundreds of thousands of computers around the globe so that the internet largely Works. it's pretty safe for me to assume i do know computers better than most of their users. my genuine apologies for forgetting about Windows, a computer operating system that is uniquely anti-computer.
you do also kinda use incorrect terminology for software and computers (software is restarted, not rebooted) which is why other users snarked with parenting analogies. "stopped running Bluetooth" is a bit of a non-sequitor on its own: did the device driver stop running? the control software? did the physical bluetooth device itself fall off the bus and stop initializing at power-on due to BIOS/firmware issues? it's a very vague and categorically non-descriptive description of a problem with a deeply layered set of interacting technical systems.
Look I don’t do this professionally I’m just someone that’s competent with windows software and gets names and words mixed up in my head all the time even with things I know a lot about and your comment majorly pissed me off because I do know what I’m doing even if my brain is scrambled about it and I get enough of this bullshit at home because my brother is a computer science major
Also I didn’t ask for help
