There's a new man in the neighbourhood, one with wavy auburn hair that flows to the middle of his back. Lithe and lean, he is a vision, and Aziraphale can't stop watching him as he walks the pavement, going in and out of the local bawdy house.
The Angel Who (Almost) Got Away

Crowley has left a string of broken hearts in his dating wake, and his best friend, Aziraphale, has had it. Crowley claims it’s not his fault, and swears he doesn’t lead anyone on. It isn’t as if he is promising them anything, he’s just taking them on dates.
Aziraphale points out that the two of them have been friends for years, and yet he isn’t in love with Crowley, but Crowley insists that if they were dating that might change. So they make a bet—Crowley will romance Aziraphale for two weeks so he can see what it’s like to be the object of Crowley’s affection. It will give Aziraphale a chance to figure out why everyone falls in love with the man.
They’ve known each other for years. Nobody’s worried about falling in love.
Maybe they should be.

a ‘hot minute’ can be both a very short period of time, and a very long one. however, a hot minute in the past (“It's been a hot minute since I've seen you!”) is most often a long duration, while a hot minute in the future (“I'll be with you in a hot minute!”) is most often a short duration. this suggests some very strange things about the temperature of time.
an interesting linguistics find! so I'm reading this text from 1908 and it keeps referencing "hp" in the context of "not being at full hp" "applying your full hp to a task" etc

To my 25 - 35 year olds, you've reached the age where people around you are starting to give up on themselves because they think it's too late. Don't let that energy rub off on you. It's not too late.
My woke take, as someone who has worked in both a public library and a school library, is that we desperately need both more books that are at a higher reading level but a less mature subject matter, and more books that are at a lower reading level but a more mature subject matter, because 8 year olds who are advanced readers are still 8 year olds and don't want to read about graphic violence and torture, and teens and adults who have learning difficulties or who are just later readers for whatever reason are still teens and adults and don't want to read about Billy the Bunny going to school or whatever the hell.
What are you supposed to do when you're the type of bored where you don't want to do anything but there's nothing you can do about it either? It's 4 pm and there's five hours of day left and I don't want to sit through them.
The stupidity of Crowley not having his miracles in the finale has already been thoroughly dissected but I gotta say if they were going to do it, they could have at least been funny about it. Crowley miracles his clothes, right? So he should have been naked. Give us some Crowley bum to complete the bare asses triptych (Eve in S1, Jimbriel in S2). Have him wandering around Soho carrying a potted plant in front of his crotch for modesty.
Unfortunately, I am now picturing Crowley doing exaggerated yoga poses behind strategically placed items in the bookshop like its an Austin Powers film while Aziraphale valiantly tries to avert his gaze.
Sorry, sorry, I could barely sleep last night thinking about this, it's super important that I clarify: Naked Crowley still has his sunglasses in this scenario. They were a designer purchase. The silver scarf stays on as well, for the aesthetics.

When award-winning magazine writer Anthony Crowley has the opportunity to return to the lodge on assignment, he takes it, because one look at the resort’s website leaves no doubt in his mind that the owner, Aziraphale Levin, is the boy he met there in 1996.
Crowley and Aziraphale soon find that the years haven’t dampened the spark ignited in their youth, and they quickly fan it into a flame.
Then a decision is made that threatens their new relationship. The question is, can they find the strength to save it, or will one bad choice ruin everything?
