"You’ve been trying awfully hard to get rid of me.” “I want you to stay.” I step towards him, gently frame his face between my hands. “You must know that I’m the most unpleasant, rude, ignorant—” “I know who you are, Sherlock. I’m an arsehole, too. I need therapy and keep missing my appointments because it all seems pointless. I have a short fuse, a penchant for danger, and no real friends.” I step back and look at him, this amazing man who doesn’t know how amazing he is. There are still scratches on his face from the bonfire, and his eyes look like he hasn’t slept — well, neither have I. But here he is, upright, a bit singed, and sexy as hell.
