maybe this is controversial but you don't need to correct other trans people who describe themself as a "transwoman" or "transman" as one word, anymore than you need to "correct" someone for calling themself a transsexual or FTM/MTF just because those terms are now often considered "outdated," or describing themself as a male woman or a female man.
the lack of a space IS often a red flag for TERFs (and now TRFs too as apparently some people are using "transman" while referring to trans women with a space). you should side eye it's use. but at the same time, many trans people have been using the no-space versions for years. many trans people DON'T think of their gender as "equivalent to cis wo/men but with a trans modifier" and prefer the no-space version to signify that their wo/manhood is fundamentally trans. & a lot of times context or a little bit of research into the person can tell you whether it's likely a dogwhistle or a trans person applying the term to themself because it's their preferred language.
if you KNOW someone is trans and is describing their own gender, you don't need to "correct" how they express their gender because it makes you uncomfortable. it makes sense to say "hey btw this isn't a term that should be applied to the community as a whole!" if they seem unaware of how the community often feels about these terms and use them very broadly. but ultimately if someone calls themself a transwoman or a transman that's actually none of your business. trans people do not need to describe their gender in ways that are objectively (or grammatically) "correct" or most politically expedient. & unsurprisingly trans gender policing always ends up being a tool of exorsexism to ostracize trans people who have very little interest in being seen as or describing themselves as similar in gender to cis people.

THE CHAFF PROJECT
Hi! Are you cis in the UK and you'd like to support trans rights? Great!
How: buy a trans flag pin and wear it in public.
Why: chaff is an overwhelming amount of false positives so that when a missile gets close to the plane, it hits the chaff and not the plane.
In practice: the goal is to make it DIFFICULT to identify trans people to target with bathroom bans, and to create many FALSE POSITIVES for businesses.
Basically, you might get accused of being trans and kicked out, because of the badge. You say: I wear the badge because trans rights matter.
You follow up with a letter to the business saying you're fucking furious because some nosy dipshit just tried to play fucking genital police with you in the loos. You know lots of trans people (don't name any, if you do) and you wear the pin in support and you're disgusted at them for allowing this.
Blame the business for allowing the behaviour.
Businesses see that their cis customers are getting bothered over a badge and may clarify trans-inclusive policies, so they can kick out the bathroom botherers instead of nice cis allies.
You only need to buy and wear the badge, and you are protecting trans people. You can be genuinely heroic. Even one cis person doing this helps, and everyone you get to join in helps even more.

neovaginas can get wet naturally
a neophallus can get erect with an implant (this will either be a bendable rod or a device that inflates with saline at the press of a button, usually in the testicles)
both can feel sexual pleasure and experience orgasm
most neovaginas will be able to tolerate larger insertions with enough dilating/training
the nerves in neophalluses take a while to regrow but it is incredibly rare to experience no sexual nerve growth
both can look and feel "normal" if that's what you want, just take good care of your scars and look at your surgeons' results portfolio (and don't be afraid to be picky! its your genitals, you get to decide!)
in fact it's possible for many people to stealth and for their sexual partners to never know. even for phallo, some people with natal penises have erectile implants too, ED is common. neocaginas are often indistinguishable from natal vaginas
many surgeons are starting to offer preservation options for patients who want a more mixed look/don't want to lose what they have
YOU HAVE OPTIONS! demystify bottom surgery
you can also have nothing, if you want!! nullification is starting to become available alongside vaginoplasty and phalloplasty
you can have nothing and retain sexual function, even! it's called nerve-preserving nullification. similarly to other bottom surgeries, they use the most sensitive tissue (glans/clit) to create a subdermal pseudoclitoris
yes you can pee like normal. urethral reroute leaves a small hole at the perineum (taint)
all the advice about scars from OP applies here too!! take care of yourself well and it can heal well
(also, for people interested in the "mixed look" OP mentioned: the magic words are "penile-preserving vaginoplasty"/"phalloplasty without vaginectomy"!!)
As someone who has had nullification done, my inbox is always open.

man sometimes i think of the “clanker” trend and its like man some people DESPERATELY want to be racist without actually being perceived as racist. im a Star Wars fan so when i first heard it i was like okay chuckle that’s funny I hate ai and its a reference to a thing i like and then it gained traction and people were saying it with SO MUCH like…enthusiasm and venom that it felt like yall just want to say another word. Its not subtle. Truly an insane internet experience.
Like why do y'all wanna say a slur so bad lmao. Why is the urge to be a bigot "without harm" so tempting to you? I have never in my life wanted to call anything a slur, that I would be so geeked to have the opportunity. Grow a spine and say the slurs you really wanna say, and live with the consequences!
Justin Jordan made a great youtube video about the origins and extent of the trend (people made a lot of robot versions of slurs and of actual Black people). Take care if you're watching because some of the people making the clanker "jokes" he's reacting to didn't do much at all to hide the racism.
