Wow god looks just like how I imagined

I saw other people on my dash worrying about those Stuart Semple T-Shirts printed with gay men’s blood that says “This Shirt Is Printed With the Blood of Gay Men.” They were fretting furiously over how ‘unsafe’ it was. Which is EXACTLY missing the whole point of the T-shirts and what they were trying to say. You cannot contract HIV from T-shirts printed with blood-formulated ink. The process would kill any virus plus the virus doesn’t live that long outside of the body or optimal preservation techniques. HIV is not that easy to transmit! We’ve been trying to educate people on this since forever ffs and to see that there is still so much panic and misinformation is a criminal failure of our governments. They want everyone to think that you can “catch AIDS” just by being /near/ a gay man. They want us to be seen as “plague rats”. To be ostracized and viewed with suspicion. They want sex, ALL sex, to be seen as IMMINENT DEATH!!!!! It’s not the questioner’s fault, nor the fault of the people on my dash. They were the victims of a deliberate propaganda war. Because trust me, the lack of accurate information is NO MISTAKE. It is deliberate misinformation and homophobic/serophobic propaganda. It is Fucking Evil and there is evil intent behind it.

I don’t blame anyone for not having knowledge when we make knowledge so hard to come by, but it’s really sad to see things like this.

it’s gardening season! please don’t plant lettuces/greens directly into the ground in an urban area or close to a building without getting a soil test. the risk of lead poisoning is very high. if you can’t afford a soil test and you must plant into the ground, try to grow something where you will only be eating the fruit and not the leaves & stems (i.e. tomatoes, cucumbers, etc) bc there’s less of a chance that heavy metals will migrate to the fruit tissues. better yet, build a raised bed or plant in pots!

If you ever actually wanna help your waitress out, ask to speak to their manager before you leave and then tell the manager how awesome they are. Trust me, it makes a difference. Servers who get compliments from guests and customers get better hours, and the more you’re liked by the people who come in the more forgiving the bosses are when shit goes awry (say if you’re sick or you have a flat so you’re late, etc). Tell the manager. Do it! Aside from tipping it’s one of the best things you can do for us. Tell the manager you thought we were great. Tell the manager that we’re the reason you’re gonna come back. Talk us up! It’s a little like job security - if you tell the manager we’re the reason you’re here, they’re gonna be a lot more reluctant to let us go because then they’re losing your business, and they don’t want that.

In all seriousness this is what I’m talking about whenever I go off on how the rich can’t even spend their fucking money. Do you honestly think these fuckers are getting that much enjoyment out of these goddamn gummy bears compared to regular store-bought one? No, they get enjoyment out of the CONCEPT of them, out of the thrill of conspicuous consumption in the face of people who actually have to work for a living, or who, god forbid, don’t even have the opportunity. So they’ll buy seven houses when you would be hard-pressed to justify them owning two, and they’ll buy huge-ass limousines and designer clothes just to look a tiny bit cooler (as if any real fan of a celebrity gives a fuck about the label they’re wearing rather than the content they put out, or the persona they have, or even the way the outfit actually LOOKS), and they’ll pay out the ass for ludicrously expensive ingredients placed in such ludicrously tiny portions that they can barely fucking taste them. I don’t understand it even slightly. I can barely imagine what I’d do with $150,000 a year, much less millions. And I’m not even like a “simple pleasures” fanatic – sure, I get the appeal of a second house! I get the appeal of regular vacations! I get the appeal of eating steak five nights a week, drinking expensive champagne! But wealth disparity has become so fucking absurd in this country and on this planet that those quasi-reasonable luxuries aren’t enough, so they have to make up bullshit that can’t possibly even be enjoyable in its own right just so they can feel good about having money. It’s disgusting. Eat the rich.
