I've seen people say this moment is Sun realizing that Jay is the person he slept with five years ago, but I don't know if I quite agree. I see that interpretation and it does make some sense considering the dialogue that follows, but when Jay repeated his words about karma, Sun looked shocked and sat up. He didn't look, to me, like he'd just had a suspicion confirmed. It was like this came totally out of the blue for him.

No, I think the moment from the screenshots was not him realizing he'd had sex with Jay before. I think it was him processing the sex they'd just had, and how it made him feel. I think he did likely think about their first time, but only in relation to the fact that it turned out that his reaction to that kind of sex hadn't been a one off. That he actually did want to have sex with someone who would hurt and dominate him. He'd finally been willing to submit to Jay and let Jay do whatever he wanted to to Sun, but I don't think he anticipated just how incredible it would feel. I think that was the look of a man who had just had his whole world rocked. Sex, even his first time with Jay, had never been that mind-blowing. The intimacy that comes with submitting to the right person is, for many subs and some switches, the most captivating and incredible experience in the world. Nothing compares to it for some of us, and I think Sun is one of those people.

So I think the realization he was having here was entirely about the fact that this was the kind of relationship he wanted. The kind of sex he truly wanted to have. Who he was, deep down.

He became my favorite brother today. I found him super cute when he came with his little bouquet of flowers to woo Ongsa. I also greatly appreciated that he recognized kissing him without his consent was wrong and he apologized.
