[ID: An 11-page Deltarune fan-comic about Kris and their family in regards to some of the things that happened in the past.
Page 1. Kris, a human with long hair, sits with their head down and looks at their hands on their lap. A voice says: "Just for the record — you're not in any trouble, Kris." Kris's face is in shadow, only their exhausted eyes are visible. The voice continues: "It's just, you know, protocol." It's Asgore's voice, a large bearded goat monster wearing a police cap. He's smiling tensely and says: "Your mom really fought me about this— this interview. [interview is italicized.] So, help me out, Kris? You know how she gets when she's mad." He laughs awkwardly and his laugh fades into silence. He and Kris are sitting on opposite sides of a table. A single lamp illuminates the room from above. Kris remains hunched, face hidden by their hair.
Page 2. Kris slowly lifts a hand to their head, saying: "I... lost... something". Asgore's eyes are cast in shadow by the police cap and he looks with a more intense expression at Kris as he says: "You lost something?" Kris mumbles "mh". Asgore says: "Well, maybe I can help you find it!" Kris's other eye is visible through their hair. They keep their gaze low. They say: "My headband." Asgore's horns are shown as he says: "The red one? With horns on it?" Kris's mouth is zoomed in on as they say: "I can't find it." Asgore's staring eyes are zoomed in on as he says: "That's pretty odd. You wear it everywhere." Kris replies: "... Yes." Kris starts to get more stressed out as Asgore continues: "You can't find it, huh… It's hard to believe, you leaving it somewhere on accident."
Page 3. Asgore stares straight at Kris. Behind him, there's a shadowy figure of something, perhaps a monster with a long snout. Asgore leans in, and says: "Kris. If you know something, you should confess, okay? ["know something" and "confess" are in italics.]" Kris is sweating and starts to cry as they struggle to put together a sentence. Various panels of them blend together and as they clasp their face it becomes engulfed in shadow again except for a single crying eye. The speech bubbles, which become messier and more jagged as they go on, say: "I- I don't- I didn't- I was just- We were just- And she- [the speech bubbles switch to handwriting instead of a font] ughhhnnnn I don't wannaaa I don't wanna goooooo Daddy... Momma... I'm gonna die I'm gonna die"
Page 4. Kris wakes up on a sofa, covered by a blanket. There's arguing in the background that goes: "Asgore, I told you-!" "I know, Tori! I know, okay!? I screwed up like I do everything-" "Oh please ["please" is italicized]. Do not start with that-" Kris rubs their eyes and notices Asriel, a young goat monster, sitting next to them. They seem to still be at the police station. They say Asriel's name through the noise of arguing. Asriel looks exhausted and irritated. He says: "Oh. You're awake." Kris asks: "What's going on." "What's it look like? Dad said you freaked— had a panic attack, so he called us to come pick you up and now Mom is yelling at him." The siblings listen in on the arguing. "Tori, it's just- I think we should get in touch with their old therapist again," Toriel interrupts: "What?" Asgore says: "Clearly, there's somethi" but gets interrupted by Toriel: "Something about the case! Be honest. This isn't about our child's wellbeing." Asgore responds: "That is not fair. ["not" is italicized.]" Somewhere along this conversation Asriel comments "oh wow."
Page 5. Kris says: "My… what? I've never even been to therapy before." Asriel looks at them and twists his face as he glances into space and says: "Uh. Yes you have?" He leans his head back in exhaustion and says: "Well. You probably don't remember 'cause it was a long time ago." He fully leans into the backrest of the sofa and looks at the ceiling. "Heck. Maybe I should go with you this time. Every day just sucks now." He glances at Kris and notices something in their expression. As he leans forward, he furrows his brows and his lips split slightly open, showing gritted teeth. "You do know something. ["do" in all caps]"
Page 6. Asriel's expression has fully turned angry. He yells: "Why aren't you telling Dad!?" Kris wraps the blanket around them and hides their face. They say: "Stop yelling at me." Asriel yells "Kris!!" and they reply: "I- I-don't know. I don't remember" Asriel echoes with doubt: "You don't remember!?" His expression is still furious, but with a smile mixed in. "Hah! ["hah" in all caps] What, you just magically forgot!?!" Kris's speech bubbles melt as they say: "I don't know, I don't know, It was dark," The text becomes handwritten and all capital letters. "too dark, and the trees, were in the way". Among unclear imagery are trees, the tail of hell and a deer monster with a long snout and short hair.
Page 7. There are two smiling side profiles of the deer monster with short hair. They are near identical and move in unison. The one in front has its fur/skin in dark and hair in white, while the one behind it has these colours in reverse. The one in the back has more detailed features and more natural expressions, while the one in front keeps staring and smiling across the three panels on this page. Panel 1. The one in front says: "You lost something?", the one in the back says: "Come on now, enough crying!" Panel 2. The one in the front laughs "Ha ha!", the one in the back reassures: "It's okay!" despite her smile looking very forced. The one in the front says: "As if it was ever yours to lose." the one in the back says: Everything will be okay!" Panel 3. The one in the front says: "You idiot!" The one in the back begins to melt away, and her words melt away as well as she says: "This is all just a bad dream"
Page 8. Kris clasps their head. Asriel has his arm around them and still seems irritated. His words of "oh- come on Kris, hey, i didn't mean to" are barely audible to Kris, but more than that they're focused on their thoughts. They think: "just a bad dream?" A voice says "yes... a deep dark dream. When you open your eyes, the light scatters that darkness. But it never leaves entirely. It's always there, in the back of your mind." Kris clasps their shirt around their chest. "There's something inside me. There's something inside me. Something was taken out and something else was put inside. I can feel it I can feel it I can feel it I can feel it I can feel it I can fe"
Page 9. Asriel is talking, but his dialogue is all scribbles. There's a voice coming from under the couch. It's in all caps and it says: "Kris, it's okay, don't cry, The pain itself is th" [the rest of the speech bubble is hidden behind Kris.] Kris asks: "who... are... you?" The voice replies: "i'm your friend, don't you recognize me?"
Page 10. The voice from under the couch speaks and the lines connecting its speech bubbles circle around Kris: "let me ask you something. how does one fill a glass? of course, this is a rhetorical question. i already know the answer. to fill a glass, it must first be empty. kris. everything will be taken from you. and you will be filled with something beautiful. but first. you must be empty. december was" Asgore says Kris's name and interrupts the voice.
Page 11. Asgore stands in front of the kids with his cap in his hand and says: "I owe you an apology. I didn't realize how- affected you were by this. You weren't ready, and that's okay. Your mother and I will get you the help that you need," - Asgore picks Kris up, - "I will fix this. All of it. I swear. Then, everything can finally go back to the way it used to be." Kris looks over Asgore's shoulder closely at their mother. She looks angry, but is silent.
