to be frank i don't think he would be a good leader, 

sure Jamil is wicked competent and capable but if you think about his codependency on Kalim and his actions in book 4, the examples of his actions (ex: bringing water bottles, placid his dorm mates during the meeting) is in how he devises an elaborate scheme so that others can become dependent on him.

Looking at this for Jamil its all about dependency and control, Jamil wants to be in control and making others dependent on him this is what makes him feel secure in his control over others. 

when the octotrio came to the dorm and introduced new new methods for his dorm mates that can insure growth 

Jamil got angry you can say that he is angry that azul and the group were infuriating his plans to oust Kalim but if you remember when i pointed out that Jamil being relied on makes him feel more secure and in control Jamil got angry because he was not the one who was in control and that the octo trio threatening his control when they helped the dorm, when that is threaten he resorts to drastic methods like that mind control thing he used on Azul. 

you can see why he lacks any leadership abilities this is mainly because being a dorm leader is to ensure that your dorm mates can grow but Jamil doesn’t do anything to help his dorm mates grow, he makes them reliant on him not letting them to think or do anything on their own. Jamil’s actions ensure that his dorm mates dependent on him rather than allow them to grow. 

there's also the stresses that comes with the responsibility of being a dorm leader, Jamil is already proud and would try to do everything by himself while not asking for help its worse yet that he wouldn’t be able to down when someone asks for help. Jamil would easily crash and burn because he doesn’t let others help him or share the work load which would only serve to getting stressed out more 

Theres also the fact that Jamil doesn’t connect to others or reach out, this is a key requirement is leaning to connect to others this is the advantage that Kalim had because Kalim can connect to others on a fundamental level as leona pointed out jamil lacks the leadership abilities that are required to lead and this is a good examples among the other ones.

I felt some vindication because it matches the dialogue in a prompt i had written a long time ago elaborating with the tensions between diurnal and nocturnal Fae, at first I thought that the Fae who sided with humans had grievances with the royal family but I didn’t think that the reason was even more different 

the diurnal Fae that side with humans to fight against the nocturnal Fae was a reaction to losing their lands to the nocturnal Fae. 

Yes, I did a post before on how Crowley's actions don’t help but exacerbate their existing problems within the student body. 

Crowley is the driving force behind the students' behaviors due to his exploitative management style.

Crowley’s actions encourage distrust of outsiders and prevent meaningful student support systems. Crowley isolates students to make them vulnerable to exploitation for his own hidden agenda 

Crowley frequently abandons the school, leaving stressed-out teens without proper adult guidance 

Crowley also constantly delegates his work to students, with the responsibility of managing the school and correcting behavioral issues entirely thrust onto dorm leaders, forcing them to overcompensate with strict, often oppressive rule enforcement 

Crowley's negligence allows a culture where students must aggressively fight to survive, demanding the student to fend for themselves drives them to desperation 

And because he leaves staff roles unfilled, even with the new book coming out, it implies that he doesn’t hire new staff, which puts strain on the teachers. His actions don’t only stress out the students but also the teachers working under them. 

This causes the students to cling to other role models to soothe their own self-loathing and insecurities 

Yes, when I think about it, that means that Crowley was planning this for the past 100 years by making the school into a breeding ground for the students to overblot. 

This could be why he allowed Azul to run his business in school on purpose; it's so he can harvest the contracts on the students' insecurities that Crowley helped cultivate for Azul to overblot.

Yes, this is a turning point for his character,

When the illusion of his mother tells him to go back to sleep, Riddle immediately assumes it's a fake because of how terrifying her real reactions were. 

Riddle conditioned himself to believe that his mother's strict, suffocating upbringing was out of love by stating she would scream at him to the point of him wishing he were dead, acknowledging the emotional cruelty of her discipline. This also shatters Riddle's illusion of her.

Ace’s character arc is about moving past his tendency to run away and learn to face his own emotions and vulnerably.

Ace is highly clever but struggles with insecurities and feelings of inferiority compared to his peers which he hides behind a playful persona which he uses to avoid having to face his emotions and vulnerability. Instead of openly admitting his anxieties he copes by deflecting and criticizing others.

Ace is known to drop out of tough situations and avoid putting any effort thinking that putting effort in something might end up risking in exposing his vulnerability 

the first indication that ace refused to face situations that required putting in actual effort is right in his backstory, in middle school Ace use to have a girlfriend but ghosted because she was “boring”, but realizes that a relationship requires actual effort but ace ghosted her mainly because he doesn’t want to put effort in a relationship he feels would put too much work. 

Book 7 addresses Ace’s habit of running away,

ace and his friends are trapped in a dream sequence created by Malleus, ace creates his own dream where he is safe and avoids the fight Ace initially refuses to fight back or try to escape revealing deep insecurity and admits to cater that he is terrified Cater calls Ace out of this and reminds Ace of his bravery during a crisis this realization prompts Ace to step up and faces his fears effectively waking him up
