people view Shenea leaving Klaproth as a cruel act but if you look at her background she was kidnapped and forced to bare children against her will she even tried to take her own life until she was stopped by Desty, Shenea did try hard for her son and tried to take responsibility but things didn’t go as she wanted and she thought she fulfilled her responsibilities so she left find her own life and its been repeatedly stated that Klaproth's cruel actions is what drove his loved ones away even his backstory in the extras stated this. 

there was something about Plutos comment that made me think of something

Looking at Klaproth with other characters he lacked Cassius military experience, Destys intelligence and Tesla’s leadership abilities. 

the same can be true if you compare how Tesla stabbed Klaproth in the eye and how Klaproth ordered Pluto to take Teslas eye, tesla stabbed klaproth by his own hand but Klaproth never took teslas eyes with his own hand he only ordered pluto to do it. 

If you compare Klaproth with other characters in the game you can tell that he is not competent in fact he doesn’t put forth the effort to actuality do things he just expects others to do things for him. this might be what allowed Pluto to manipulate him because he expects people to follow his orders.

if you think about it we haven't seen klaproth kill anyone with his own hands, He ordered the soldiers to lay siege on teslas village and kill shenea, he gave the poison to a servant for his father to have. He causes a rift between the emperor and Ceres eventually leading to his death by the hands of his father. he incites Zargons paranoia leading to his illness and death. 

Klaproths expressions are telling when Pluto brainwashing was undone and attacked him he can’t fathom people would go ever against him.

I think this is supposed to say that Klaproth is an incompetence ruler by sprinkling these details to prove it.
