Does anyone have any good sources/references for drawing curly hair? Every time I try to look up a reference for it, it’s LITERALLY ALL AI IMAGES. Like not even discrete ones but Ai image after Ai image ALL FROM THE SAME 3-4 WEBSITES!
It doesn’t have to be hyper realistic, it can look stylized or from like a comic or anime, google images is literally not letting me look up anything that isn’t Ai generated, Pinterest is no better, and what few pictures I could find were more “wavy” than curly.
Texture wise I’m looking for somewhere around a type 3 or type 4 curl to draw. I’m not particularly good at hair to begin with so any tutorials or tricks to drawing it would be greatly appreciated

Like, its not BAD, per se... its just crimped hair and curly/wavy hair are different beasts. And I default to one over the other when visualizing.
And when I reference Lena's hair in the Old Guard AU, I mean the former, not the latter.
