The grain of truth behind the rudeness is that this woman would be better off if we as a society didn’t present being with a man as the ultimate goal for a woman to have. If she was regularly told that it’s better to be single with a pain-free neck than in a relationship with someone who physically hurts her and then plays mind games about it, it could have been different - yeah, he’d still try to keep her in a relationship with him but at least she wouldn’t also have the whole of society saying “oh, it’s not THAT bad, relationships take work, you just didn’t communicate well enough.”

i think a lot of us are lowkey traumatized by the amount of porn we were exposed to as children and it's a very weird place to be in because generations before ours weren't in a situation where so easily you were unwillingly exposed to pornography. and now if you point out children should not have access to porn you're a prude because we are trying desperately to convince ourselves it was okay and it didn't affect us in a negative way but it did. it did and it's our responsibility to stop this from happening to younger generations

this really encapsulates something i've been thinking for a while now. a lot of the anti-female sports brigade are motivated not only out of allegiance to trans activism but out of the sheer lack of respect they hold for women and our own achievements. males are the standard and the default, so our records and achievements only hold value if we compete on male terms against the men. female sports categories are “easy mode” when really the female category exists to cater exclusively to the female body & female athletic ability the same way the male category (the open category, bc men are default) and pretty much everything else in society already caters for the male body. female sports categories are where female athletes compete with honor as equals.
