After doing some research, I’ve decided to accept the fact that I am, and always have been, a radqueer. The main reason I hadn’t used the label before, was because of a few things. 1. The term radqueer was originally created as a tasteless joke made to mock the queer community, before people adopted it as a serious term. 2. I wasn’t sure what it meant. Like many antishippers experiences with proshippers, radqueer never seemed to have a single, easy to find definition. 3. Some of my mutuals are going to hate me. If you want to leave, I get it. I’ve lied to you about who I am and what I stand for. But I have something to ask. PLEASE. DON’T. I love all of you so much, and the idea that by making this post, by being honest about all of this, will make you suddenly hate me? It’s making me want to just delete this draft, and pretend it never happened. But I’m not going to. I want to be able to be myself. I want to be able to stand for I think is right. And I want to be able to surround myself with people who will understand and support this decision. So please don’t leave. I’m begging you. I’m the same person you’ve ‘known’ all this time. Except now I’m not hiding my true self from you. I’m sorry. I love you all. I hope you love me too.
