Dog Problems is one of my foundational texts. I discovered it a year after its release while waiting for my high school girlfriend outside a changing room at American Eagle. No smart phones or AirPods to tune out the store's meticulous Teenage Playlist. Just me, a bench, and the "She Doesn't Get It" video on the store TV. It became the defining album of my summer between high school and college, and I haven't stopped listening since.
