It’s likely safer for them to agree with their mother, to take part in ridiculing and abusing Cinder because that keeps them safe, it’s something their mother agrees with and something that she likes

And they seem to have no other parental figure with no shown father so their mother is their only safety and support, the only person they can rely on. She feeds, clothes and houses them but Cinder is before them as a very clear notion that the Madam could easily take those things from her daughters too if she wished

Not that their both entirely blameless, they were children sure but by the end they were teenagers who could differentiate right from wrong but at some point they probably started to revel in it too, because if you do something to survive long enough it becomes second nature

Nothing swayed Raven. Nothing until Yang had supposedly died. Why is that the extreme that had to happen for Raven to care?

I need her to be angry, yes, but less loudly. An exhausted, exasperated anger. She had to die for Raven to care, she doesn’t deserve to be shouted at, she doesn’t deserve to be cursed out.

Before this he was a stuck-up, selfish, annoying little brother who looked like a copy of his father, who had one side too him with only two small hints he was anything else; both in V7

Firstly when Watts enters the manor and Whitley looks mildly afraid of him, and secondly when Willow mentions he’s been alone with her and Jacques with no one else who loves him

But in V8 we get reminded that he’s a Schnee too. Yes, he’s haughty and so clearly upper class and still mildly annoying to Weiss but in a much calmer way, a much clearer way. When all bets are off, Whitley Schnee is the same as his sisters, kind and brave but terribly exasperated by everyone around him

He does what he can with what he has, and definitely reminds of V1-3 Weiss who wanted to do something good with their family name. He isn’t a Huntsmen but he is the Schnee heir; he does know all the things needed to get their airships to help the people of Mantle

And he’s brave too, when he realizes he didn’t hit the confirm button to send the ships, he runs back directly towards the danger of the Hound who’d just scared the shit out of him

I’m of the belief they were genuinely together, not of the opinion they ever got married, but they were romantically together.

They’ve known each other, by this point, for like fifteen years tho. They had the four years at Beacon, most of us can mutually agree Tai and Raven didn’t have Yang immediately after graduating but rather a few years later, and Yang looks like she’s like seven in the flashback. They’ve known each other for a good long minute by now, a bare minimum of a decade.

They’ve also been fighting a seemingly impossible war where they’ve already lost Raven because of it. Yang is their daughter, she has no choice but to be stuck with this. And Ruby has silver eyes, otherwise known as no choice but to be doomed and chosen for greatness.

Tai thinks it’s a regular, odd hours mission for Ozpin. Summer knows otherwise. Never forget, STRQ are some of the best Huntsmen to ever live, Tai probably has very little fear of her not returning because she’s goated and this is supposed to be something run of the mill.

It’s not really a hug, it’s a whole embrace. She goes to touch his face and homeboy yoinks her closer. Maybe they kiss after the screen fades away cause the Blacksmith wasn’t keen on showing Ruby how her mom and dad made out.

Like I love the dichotomy of that talk cause she’s not really talking about Blake and Yang, she’s fully trying to gauge his feelings towards her. It really was one of those peak Nora’s emotional intelligence moments that she’s been showing since really early on.

And when Jaune was doing his and Qrow was like “yall need to calm down this is tense and we need to be calculated”

And all the kids are just like “yeah Pyrrha negotiated and was chill, that girl dead and we got her killer in the room tho, fuck being calculated Cinder dies today”
