i keep seeing randos be like “sunflower is such a weird song” and “this song makes no sense was he high” and im just here to tell u that sunflower, vol. 6 is THE most romantic song written by english singer songwriter, harry styles, 25. he starts the song by saying “sunflower, my eyes want you more than a melody” and that in and of itself is romantic. he wants his lover more than he could ever express in a song, he’s saying that flat out. this song will not be enough to express how much he wants his person. and then he’s like “sunflowers sometimes keep it sweet in your memory” and that’s just him being like “sometimes you have to leave and you leave me sunflowers and they remind me of you and everything is sweet” and then he’s like “i couldn’t want you any more, kiss in the kitchen like it’s a dance floor” and that’s like. holy shit. find me anything more romantic than dancing with your lover in the kitchen, pretending it’s a dance floor, getting lost in their kisses bc it’s just you and them. and then he’s all “wondering headshake, tired eyes are the death of me” and he’s reminiscing on how his person looks when they wake up in the morning, all sleepy eyes and hazy headshakes and it’s the death of him. he’s so infatuated that it’s killing him. and then. oh then he delivers the death blow: “mouthful of toothpaste before i got to know you” holy hell. Holy Hell, Folks. they were living together and being all domestic with each other before he even got to know them. and then he’s like “i’ve got your face hung up high in the gallery” bc his person is art. Don’t really understand why people are pissed about Louis’ tweet lol. Twitter is a weird place, and fandom Twitter is toxic as fuck. But he may not have even been referring to the fandom. Who knows what his feed looks like. People need to chill out and stop acting like he just gave permission for fans to bully each other because that’s not at all what happened. Bullies and toxic people will find a reason to be shitty no matter what Louis tweets. If people twist his words or assign a made up meaning to them, that’s not his problem or his fault.
