Hey, I don't know if you are the right person to talk to about this.
It's about Zayn. I don't know if you are aware of this, but recently a fan has mentioned on twitter that they asked Zayn to sign 'trans rights' but instead he signed 'big love'.
I am really sorry if I am being annoying or if you don't want to talk about Zayn. If you feel annoyed by me, please feel free to ignore this.
The thing is I love Zayn. Like I really love him. Whatever he does, no matter what, even if i don't agree with him, at the end I love him and yeah, I love him.
But ever since I saw this, i was really disturbed. Like i don't know, it's very disturbing for me.
I know I should jump into conclusions about him by seeing just one tweet. Maybe he misheard them or smg. And i am not saying he is transphobic, but idk.
I will fight for him literally through everything, i love him so much, but this tweet.
Idk what to think. I need anothers opinion on this.
Ever since I saw this, I am going out of my fucking mind. I don't want to believe he is transphobic, he might not be, but please, if it is of not much trouble, could you just share your views on this.
I am really REALLY sorry if i have annoyed you. It's just that idk who to talk to. but I am really sorry.
Hey anon. No worries, you’re not annoying me at all. My apologies for not seeing this yesterday!
So after reading your message, I thought the situation was at an in person signing, but I saw that it was via an order form online. This can mean so many things, and a lot could have happened between the person submitting their order and Zayn signing it for them.
I did find this message that states that a similar situation happened to a lot of other people, where they submitted a personalization request and got something else written on their vinyl.
So why would this happen?
The biggest thing to remember, that I think a lot of people forget, is that Zayn, like any celebrity, has a big team of people working with him and for him. They handle a lot of tasks that Zayn doesn’t have eyes on, and they work to make things easy and efficient for him because his time as a celebrity is valuable. Because of this, I very highly doubt that Zayn is going through each individual order form and seeing exactly what people have requested. This would take too much time. Chances are, he was given a list that said order number 123456, “Happy birthday”; order number 999999, “Keeping smiling” etc etc.
Since we’re assuming someone else is going through the order forms, we can also assume that the requests are being filtered through, either by a human or some sort of system. Think about it—people can put anything in request box. Someone could write “Fuck me in the ass” and hit enter. And obviously they’re not going to have Zayn sign that. And they’re also not going to make him read it and then tell him to put something else. For efficiency and time’s sake, the person/system curating the list would substitute something for him to write.
So my guess is that a computer system or a person other than Zayn decided that “trans rights” was too controversial/inappropriate, removed it from the list, and told him to write “Big love” instead. Chances are that he personally had no idea that the person even requested “trans rights”, so I definitely would not jump to the conclusion that he is transphobic because of it.
I hope that this helps ease your mind a bit! I can understand why it’s upsetting and worrisome, but remember that a lot of decisions made are not a celebrity’s own. Unless it’s in person, he can’t take some responsibility for every choice made. Unfortunately a lot of people aren’t able/don’t know to see it that way, but I hope that this post helps people to understand! Sending “big love”, and trans rights for all!
