Batman Vs The TMNT became one of my favorite animated movies too. The IDW run of TMNT overseen by Kevin himself has been one of the best things to happen in independent comics in decades when original Mirage TMNT in the 80s was already the best thing to happen to independent comics. Seriously what the fuck you spent money on those donate to a homeless shelter instead you fucking demons
This is more common than you may think. Many urban areas that have high homeless populations are using ādefensive architectureā more and more. Sloped and divided benches to keep the homeless from sleeping on them. Spikes placed in sheltered areas where they tend to stay. City planners argue they are only trying to relocate the homeless, pushing them to see out shelters and homeless centers. But that rings hollow. They just want them out of sight. I donāt have a simple, easy solution. But this isnāt it. Making things harder for the homeless does not help them.
All these corporations have so much money to spend it on putting spikes on places where homeless people sleep yet absolutely NOTHING goes to those who are homeless. This country really doesnāt give a fuck about the well being of homeless people at all
this is heartbreaking fr .
By the way you can remove these spikes with wither a sledgehammer and a heavy metal spike (sharpened crowbar with a downwards slant and the handle removed or something similar) or a concrete saw if youāve got one of those. Itās illegal to do but it also only takes about an hour if there arenāt too many spikes.
Alternatively, if you put a mattress over them they become useless, although you do risk having the city take the mattress. Normally they donāt reinstall the spikes if you keep removing them.
As for the benches, a concrete or hand held circular saw can cut off the arm rests of the benches with too many arm rests to sleep on. Just remember: Wear protective goggles and practice proper safety if using power tools. All of this stuff can be bought at Home Depot or your local variant of Home Depot.
For legal purposes I have to advise you that this is illegal and Iām not advising you to do this.

Also!! If you wear a hard hat- orange construction vest and carry a clipboard people are more likely to believe your legit and not call the cops on you

Also, it is literally cheaper to house a homeless person than to build one of these. We need to get together enough of the people who decide to put these things up and get it through their skulls that together if they put the money they would otherwise spend on each building this into actually housing the homeless, it would be cheaper and they would look good doing it and it would deal with the homeless using their buildings and benches as shelter. (I would use the argument of compassionate and human rights, but as evidenced from these devices, rubbing two empathy cells together is too much for these douchebags)
Prosperity gospel and extreme protestantism are the real issue.
They donāt careĀ that it costs more, because housing people would be giving people something they havenāt earned.
And dealing with that cruel element in our society is inevitably going to take time.
I just read an article about a town that went,Ā āwell, treating homeless for Covid, etc is really hard.ā So they bought an empty hotel to house people, so they can treat them (for Covid, & other problems). They literally realized it was cheaper & more effective to buy a hotel & stabilize housing than try a homeless shelter (many of which use large room dormitory-style beds) or try to chase down transients to get them treatment.Ā
Multiple programs have proved, solve the housing 1st & the rest will follow.
Housing first is the solution.

But I donāt want them to be moved on to anywhere but a bed.

I love writing, gaming, drawing, and HP. I also love the Hunger Games, the Divergent Series, and BBCās Sherlock. I also like Miraculous Ladybug (donāt judge me lmao). Only fandoms that Iām truly active in are HP, Sherlock, and Miraculous. The Miraculous fandom is the least toxic (because there is like only one true, plausible ship) and I thiiiiiiiiiink that HP is more toxic than Sherlock.

I normally get good grades in school and I love English at the moment. My teacher in that class is so cool and also really nice about homework (meaning she doesnāt give us any). Also, the stuff we do in class is really fun and itās the subject I enjoy most.

The BAU taking bets on when JJ and Emily will come out and admit that theāre a couple because itās obvious that theyāre together. This goes on for years until one night theyāre at Rossiās drinking and Emily confesses her feeling to JJ and JJ is just likeĀ āI really like you toā. And the whole team is just dumbfounded. Then somebody yells something along the lines of āYouāre telling me that all these years Iāve been waiting to win this bet and you two werenāt even aware that you liked each other?!ā
David Rossi constantly talking members of the team out of doing stupid shit like scanning their face in the copier by threatening to tell embarrassing secrets about them. He knows everything, every embarrassing detail and they never told him about it. Then it turns out he was guessing, every time on everything, he had no idea that any of those things were true, he was guessing on all of the details too.
Spencer and Derek have been dating for who knows how long and havenāt said anything to the team, but they all know. They all just assume that Spencer is a bottom because Derek is well Derek. Then when jokingly playing a never have I ever drinking game things get really dirty and Derek keeps having to take shots. Then JJ says a never have I ever that is really toppy and she thinkās only Emily could have done, and Emily takes a shot, but so does Reid. They quickly find out that sweet innocent little Reid is topping Derek Morgan.
Please... please. Just- PLEASE. Pretty please, with a drunken "yes, Sir." from Morgan when Spencer tells him its time to go.
