i dont get why "fictional world without bigotry" AUTOMATICALLY is assumed to be escapist and not depthful at all cus like what if i just want to explore what a world without capitalism or transphobia would look like... exploring and understanding our real world through fiction makes sense and i obviously like stories that have themes about bigotry and oppression but i dont see why the absence of it in a story cant potentially have meaning and also explore these themes in a complex manner...
