I think they mean "the show tited Star Trek" but that is NOT what 'titular' means. It means 'the character or person the work is named after'. Steven Universe is titular, She-Ra is titular, Hamilton is titular, Spock is NOT titular, Star Trek is NOT titular.
Also, from the notes, apparently RPF is another fandom thing started by Trek/kies! I didn't realize it was that old!
