I also don't understand how people can shift without entering an in-between state first (whether just a meditative state, hypnogogia, hypnopompia, etc), but shift while wide awake? While blinking during the day? Just like that from the get-go? I'm sorry but it makes no sense, and i call bs (not towards you ofc just in general)

Just seen this vid on tik tok and I love the sort of explanation they used.

Because it really is that simple.

All I ask you to do is to put your hand out in front of you. Put your focus onto it.

Then, I want you to move your focus over to what's behind your hand.

Bingo. You've already done it.

You've just shifted your awareness.

Shifting is the same concept. You are becoming aware of something that already exists. Even if it's not right in front if you that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Just right now, your focusing on here.

Focus on your dr just as you focused on the surrounds behind you're hand. It really is THAT simple.

Is there any raw, uninterpreted access to “matter” or “the physical”? Really reflect on this. Is there any actual separation that one can truly verify? You can’t, in trying to find this separation all you inevitably get is a never ending back and forth oscillation of the mental engine.

No truth is found in the so called mind. No separation found in what is labeled as “mind, physical, personality, etc” There may be an appearance of specific function to these phenomena, but they are irrevocably entwined as one and none other than being/infinity itself. Again, all you’ll find is the circular oscillation of thought in attempting to find anything as separate.

So what “changes” when nature is evident to nature if there’s nothing to actually change? Nothing really. You’re right to infer this. There is no actual capability gained, no power to be had, no authority granted and the mental list goes on…

However, “no change” is not a determination, it’s simply that there’s nothing that needs to change. No capability needs to be granted. It’s merely seeing the absence of constraint, and this isn’t an actual change. It’s just you noticing that you were never constrained in the first place. This is why the only thing that matters in these discussions is to see this directly. No separation, no actual ontology to anything, only being/nothing—self evident.

Since there is no actual individual or solid mind and all these interpreted phenomena are naturally one this, the self verified lack of constraint can appear as an understanding:

You notice your actual capacity

No experiences are resisted

No outcomes are treated as serious, ultimately

Less fear around so called imagination and desire

(No need to take this list as gospel or an expectation, all lists are infinite at the end of the day anyways. This is just to give context in limited language)

So “more” can “appear”—but not because:

Self is choosing by force

Awareness is activating

Mind is being used and abused

It’s because nature is seen for itself. You don’t need to go digging in the so called mind to try to find all this constraint or lack of capability or power, none of this is actually there. You don’t need to try to be less fearful or not take things seriously, all you’ll precisely get is the mental oscillation. You see that nothing was ever separate even in the most seeming minute details of being. That’s all. That there was never anything constrained in the first place, and capability was never needed.

You as you Are , are the spontaneity of unrelated ‘experiences’

You as you Are cannot be touched by anything for You are the screen of the play called life, appearing separate but necessary for the expression of life.

You as you Are remain constant as the world seems to move not knowing there is no movement but solely what is Known.

i say all this to say that when people think as though upon 'realization' life becomes boring, you have to become a monk on a hill, or adopt a nihilistic point of view, while possibly understandable at first, it now gives me pause. no one in this space is telling you to do any of that, that's not the point. i even sometimes think that trying so hard to cease and "reject" these seeming things "because suddenly now it's not real" reinforces duality more often than not where there is not, reintroduces seriousness. it, like most other things, is simply not necessary. it's all just a play of awareness, it's all self, why go out of your way to seemingly reject it.

i like to think about it using this analogy. people who seemingly lucid dream take the dream as illusory and yet still seem to experience them the way they do anyway because they can, because it's fun, because they enjoy it. it doesn't have to be serious, it being an illusion doesn't negate that for them. it's the same for everything else. it's not boring, bleak or somber just because they're aware it's a dream, in contrast it's actually quite freeing. as i've seen often in some of ko's older posts that's stuck with me: "enjoy your dream now." it's all fine, do that if that's what you wish to do.

Notice how it becomes more frustrating to satisfy "your" desires the more you seek to satisfy them?

Notice how even when you "get" what you want, the satisfaction never lasts? It simply just moves onto the next desire.

Satisfaction feels momentary because it literally is.

It is bound to the thought of itself. (Read that again)

Satisfaction never truly finds reality.

It only ever finds the reality it thinks is there. Or isn't.

Yet we search and suffer and rush endlessly in the pursuit of it.

We are literally chasing an idea.

Satisfaction means nothing to reality.

Reality does not seek to satisfy your needs.

It seeks to satisfy nothing because it already is everything.

It does not even include "you."

With or without the idea of "you" it remains the same.

"What is" not "what was" or "what will be" or "what could be" - just simply, "what is."

Because it couldn't be anything else.

The "self" is a constant loop of "I'll be happy when..."

"When I finish school."

"When I get rich."

"When I find a partner."

"When I get healthy."

"When I buy new clothes."

"When I am on holidays."

"When I retire."

"When I have a family of my own."

"When I finally move out."

"When my kids are older."

But it just moves from one thought to the next, endlessly.

It's always the next thing. always circumstantial...

Satisfaction is never just "what is."

Because "what is" does not require a story nor a reason.

It just is.

Our suffering comes from the idea that "what is" isn't what it should be, according to our ideas of it.

One of the most popular, infamous, and often misunderstood concepts within the community is the idea of “𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨.”

I constantly come across posts, and I’ve recommended it myself, that tell you to let go of that lingering, irritating expectation of whether tomorrow you’ll wake up in your desired reality or once again open your eyes to your cursed, damned, painfully familiar bedroom.

But what does “𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨” actually mean?

Well, awaken those neurons that social media has graciously fried and read my magnificent, slightly irreverent post.

Allow me to enlighten you with my (our) brilliant intellect and my (not particularly revolutionary) ideas.

“𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨” is not about pretending that shifting no longer interests you. We’re human beings. It’s completely normal, and honestly understandable, to feel excited about something that would so obviously mark a before and after in our endless existence.

“𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨” is really about accepting that you already have it.

…A little confusing, isn’t it?

But it’s much simpler than it sounds.

You are consciousness. I am consciousness. We are all consciousness, pure awareness that is not tied to any fixed place, pure awareness that is genuinely free, pure awareness that is both the beginning and the end of existence and everything that comes with it. In other words, the consciousness that creates everything we perceive as real around us.

Following that logic, isn’t it somewhat irrational to believe that you’re still not in your desired reality?

You are.

You always have been.

You always will be.

That’s simply the nature of things.

The only thing missing, the 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐩, is your willingness to see it, to accept it, and to stop longing for something you already possess so that you can finally experience it firsthand.

That’s why I proudly declare myself a fan of the Law of Assumption.

When you repeat affirmations, you’re not trying to fool yourself, nor are you desperately chasing after something you want. You’re aligning your awareness with an already existing possibility.

Let go.

You are not chained to this reality.

As difficult as it may be to believe, you already have what you’ve been yearning for.

Accept it.

And allow yourself to experience the reality you’ve dreamed of for so long.
