Today’s been a “stuck in my own head & creating problems that likely don’t exist” day

When you upload your consciousness to a new body, you don’t hop into that body. You just created a new you. Once you get a memory chip installed, you become a replica of yourself. This means every time memories are transferred to a new body, the original dies and a new iteration of them is created. Those that abuse memory technology & hop between bodies are constantly dying and being recreated.

This means the original Warp (Kaiba) died as soon as he went through the memory chip conversion process. Even when Neiro was killed & revived from her roe, she’s not the same Neiro, just a replica created from her memories.

It even works around the rule that “the copy always kills the original.” It can’t happen if only one version of someone exists at a time.
