like I mean this very seriously as writing advice. the character should experience events and make decisions that make them different at the end of the story. they should be changed. they do not have to be improved.

they can get worse. they can make decisions of an increasingly terrible nature. they can stop taking risks on kindness. they can discover how much they can get away with. they can find religion, or abandon it, with negative effects on their moral creed. the character has to develop. the character does not have to grow.

Been re-reading my copy of Sherlock Holmes, and I never noticed how little Watson actually speaks in the text. Other than a couple questions and a few equivalents of ‘oh my!’, the main way we hear his thoughts are through his narration. Now I know this probably because ACD had a limited amount of words, and watson dialogue wouldn't be as interesting to the readers- But I like the idea of 'WORD FAMOUS DETECTIVE and his hypeman that he brings along’. You never hear a peep out of that guy, he just stands menacingly in the background until Holmes says something like “ah yes. He was 6ft tall.” and he goes “ AHH FUCK YEAH, THATS MY FUCKING BITCH I LOVE YOU YOU’RE THE SMARETEST PEROSN IN THE WORLD I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU GOT THAT LETSS A FUCKING GOOOOOOO!!!!!!” and then falls silent again.

anyways some actual tips for passing that arent stupid->

get mascara and an eyebrow brush. use the mascara to darken your eyebrows and any facial hair you have. then brush it with the eyebrow brush. this makes your hair appear darker

also with the eyebrow brush make your eyebrows look messy

wear pants that are a larger size than your own size. with a belt try to make them sit lower on your waist. this will make your hips look smaller

makeup tips from crossplayers are great. a lot of women cosplay as male characters and have a lot of tutorials for how they make their face look more masculine. i have found these genuinely useful

you dont actually have to bind all the time. a compression sports bra can give a similar effect without the tightness especially if your going to be moving around a lot. if you wear an open zip up hoodie on top of your shirt it can give the illusion of having an even flatter chest as well

no you dont need to start acting like an asshole dudebro to seem more masc. overcompensating like this makes you reek of fragility and insecurity. have some fucking morals. cis people are not going to treat you with any more respect if you act like this

tips like dont get piercings or dye your hair or dress alt etc are stupid. you know theres cis men who do that. yes the unfortunate truth is that you will still get misgendered by people but theres also trans men with full beards and deep voices that look more masculine than most cis men that still get called she/her. theres cis men that look like cis men that get transvestigated. please understand that if you do get misgendered its probably not because youre not trying hard enough. just be kind and be patient with yourself.
