Brian Eno (British b. 1948) and Peter Schmidt (British, born Germany, 1931-1980). Eno and Schmidt created this set of printed cards containing prompts and suggested constraints, intended to help artists solve problems and overcome mental blocks. The cards have been available in various editions over the years, and were consulted in the production of record albums by musicians such as Eno collaborator David Bowie.

Card instructions include:

Emphasize repetitions Turn it upside-down Look at the order in which you do things Is it finished? Make a sudden, destructive, unpredictable action; incorporate Give way to your worst impulse Take a break Get your neck massaged
