DESPERATELY trying to find the source of this image. where do you come from. i need to find you. you're like my dead wife
A three-circle venn-diagram where the circles are "sex workers", "the furry community", and "people working in morgues". I don't know what the overlap parts are.
Fourth circle needed: IT workers
You say that with such confidence that I am compelled to trust your vision. Personally I have no idea where this is going.
i'd say the overlap between "sex workers" and "people who work in morgues" is probably "seeing naked strangers a lot"
"professional handling of bodies of strangers"?
Putting my neck out for you folks here
from a certain standpoint birdwatching is a sort of gacha
-reliant on RNG random encounters
-instills a deep sense of fomo
-seasonally-cycled releases
-becomes increasingly financially prohibitive the more you want to expand your list and/or document your encounters
-achieved goals sound meaningless to those not in the hobby
never give up!

this video deserves at least three views per viewer, because there is no following both the belly dance and the added text at the same time while still giving either one the attention it needs for full appreciation, but watching only one or the other will miss more than half of the artistic intentions here

Your most important survival skill is asking for help
Goddamn preach this
"Your most important survival skill is asking for help." THIS, it makes me so damn pissed off when parents try and normalize that asking for help is a taboo thing!
This feels important to reblog

my official stance is a pregnancy is whatever the pregnant woman wants it to be. if itâs a 4 week old clump of cells and she wants to call it a baby itâs a baby. if sheâs 20 weeks and she wants to call it a parasite itâs a parasite. if sheâs 39 weeks and calls it a fetus itâs a fetus. âwhy are you so sad about miscarrying at 6 weeks it was literally just an embryoâ because that was her baby. âhow can you get an abortion at three monthsâ because that wasnât a baby. hope that helps.
This is pretty much the only take that makes any sense to me.
"It's just a lump of cells!" Doesn't matter, so am I and so are you. Abortion is morally acceptable not because of relative lumpiness but because of bodily autonomy.
The Pearl With The Girl Earring by Olaf Falafel
OP: "I've seen lion dancing and dragon dancing before, but this is the first time I've seen realistic lobsters fighting clams."
That poor pest control guy did not know what he was getting into, but given the state of my yard i feel like he should have known what he was getting into.
He was going door to door offering to spray the base of the house for pests for a discount rate because one of our neighbors signed up for pest control and he walked down my driveway (covered in spiderwebs), up onto my front porch (covered in spiderwebs), and knocked on my door (covered in spiderwebs) and said "hi, I'm John from the bug company, would you be interested in a discount service because it seems like you may have a spider problem."
And I said, "oh, no, I'm sorry, I won't be spraying for spiders, I like them. I want to encourage them."
And he gave me kind of a weird look and was like "why?" And I was honest and said that they were my pest control, they take care of my mosquitoes and and and flies, and then I kind of laughed and said that I should stop because I know way too much about spiders and if he let me go I'd talk his ear off.
And then he made his fatal mistake and asked what I knew about spiders, and if I knew what kinds of webs he'd walked past to get on the porch and what spiders were in my yard.
So then he got to hear my thoughts on brown vs black widows and why I wished there were as many black widows as there used to be but I had a big beautiful one under my patio table right now and even if I prefer black widows because they aren't invasive the same way that brown widows are i still like the brown widows and i had a lovely one who lived in my patio chair from August until the firestorm in January and she was so good and kept eating cockroaches and had made five big egg sacks and how I was so proud of her and I used to have a lot more orb weavers but their numbers never recovered after the tropical storm last year but I had a cute one on the shed that I took a picture of yesterday and of course there are tons of wolf spiders and jumping spiders and cellar spiders if you wanted to count them too and some false widows but I hadn't seen any of them this year and, well, yeah, anyway they're not actually dangerous mostly and widows want nothing to do with you but a bite wasn't pleasant but much better than a recluse bite but I almost never see recluses around here but i wouldn't, would I, because they're not called brown gregarious spiders, oh and there are black footed yellow sack spiders around and you don't want those to bite you but their little toes are so cute and I'm sorry, sorry, sorry like I said I can go off about spiders, but also I don't want to spray because I've got so many pollinators, I've got a whole wisteria vine full of carpenter bees, actually i saw a male valley carpenter bee last week, did you know they're golden and fuzzy? He was so cool! But, yes, sorry, I won't be spraying but thank you for asking, and I'm sorry I was the crazy spider lady at you!
Extremely adorable fuzzy little creature:

A goth icon.
Strong, independent women that I don't want to fuck with.
They are delightful and they eat actual pests, I love them.
I had almost this exact conversation with the door-to-door pest control guy last summer, but about the wasps. He was outright confused when I told him that not only was he not welcome in my yard, I'd just put out some fried chicken crumbs for my paper wasps to make sure they built their hives on my property because nothing in his truck made better crop pest control than a hungry nest of Red Paper Wasps, except maybe Ichneumons but have to get rid of the lawn before those will move in-
"Red Paper wasps? Those are very dangerous! They're very aggressive!" he sputters.
"Really? They seem to be quite placid." I indicated the Fine-backed Red Paper Wasp nest about 16 inches above his head under the eaves.
He stared.
I picked up a crumb of KFC from the porch shelf with my finger and held it up. One of the ladies investigated, then landed and sat on my finger and munched happily for a few seconds before returning to the nest.
"Would you like to see the common paper wasps? They've got a great nest going on the side of the garage."
"I'm. I'm good." He said, and left.
Update:
Another pest control guy showed up and knocked on the door and mentioned that he does bug spraying and I just straight up said "oh i'm the crazy spider lady, I like the bugs, that's why I don't mow."
And he said "Well, do you have any rats or other rodents you need handled?"
And I said "No, we have a barn owl living out back. You should see my collection of rat skulls. Do you want an owl pellet?"
He did not want an owl pellet :(
are you tme or tma
"i know you're nonbinary but which of these two arbitrarily constructed gender categories do you fit into" genuinely are you having a laugh
Referring to the distinction between those who are and arenât affected by transmisogyny as âarbitrarily constructed gender categoriesâ tells me exactly which of the two you fall into lmao
evergreen lmaooo
The application of TME/TMA terminology stops making sense once you take intersectionality into account. Dark-skinned women, particularly dark-skinned black women, are victims of masculinization and often experience this because the concepts of womanhood and femininity (at least in western societies) are almost always measured by eurocentric standards, colorism, and a general proximity to whiteness. Violent transmisogynists shoot first, ask questions never.
Michelle Dionne Peacock was a 59-year-old black woman who, by our communitiesâ definition, wouldâve been transmisogyny-exempt on account of being a cisgender woman. However, she was killed on account of Tommy Wayne Earlâs misogynoir AND transmisogyny, even going so far as to refer to her as a âmale acting like a womanâ when questioned on the murder. Earl had no grounds for his accusations apart from Peacockâs appearance which, last time I checked, doesnât indicate anything save her blackness. Considering Earl also had to be separated from black inmates due to ânot getting along with themâ, I think itâs warranted to assume his transmisogynistic motive is equally rooted in misogynoirist behaviors/mindsets that masculinize black women. In other words: heâs just as much of a violent racist as he is a violent transmisogynist, and whether or not Peacock was actually a transgender woman meant nothing to him. Only his ideology mattered, therefore that was the only âtruthâ he recognized. Most transphobes are like this.
Caster Semenya and her battle against the International Olympic Committeeâs intersexist, transmisogynistic policies is another case I think of, though thankfully it isnât a fatal one. In 2019, World Athletics (formerly the IAAF) introduced new regulations that forced intersex athletes and other athletes with DSDs like Semenya to take medication that would suppress their testosterone levels. Semenya refused, as was her right to. Ever since, she has been pursuing legal action against these regulations. In tandem with her legal battles, transmisogynoirist and intersexist cultural wars were sparked because of the barring of Caster Semenya. Her being a cis woman in actuality did not stop these culture wars from happening. People only cared about the narratives being fed to them, and again, most transphobes are like this.
Semenya is not the first nor the last cis black woman in the sports industry to be subjected to this treatment. Far from it. Serena Williams is infamously made a target by misogynoirist sports reporters and commentators whose actions against her often skew into transmisogynist territories as well (see: Mark Knightâs political cartoon for The Herald Sun from September 2018). In that same year, Williams addressed internet conspiracies around her having been âborn a manâ as well.
Even Michelle Obama has been subjected to transmisogynoirist harassment from American right-wingers who repeatedly make conspiracies and accusations of her âsecretly being a manâ. Quite recently, UFC fighter Josh Hokit peddled this exact rhetoric on the South Lawn of the White House. Emboldened by the likes of Joe Rogan and in the shadow of the Trump Administration, no doubt.
On a less public level, I was shared a video by a black co-worker that applies to this; said video was of a black woman being harassed in a womenâs restroom. As sheâs filming, an older white woman comes around the corner and insists that she is in the womenâs restroom, implying that the woman recording shouldnât be there. She tries to ignore the old lady at first, but ultimately (and rightfully) tells her to leave her alone. Only for that same woman to claim sheâs âmeanâ for doing so, as if she didnât spend most of her time harassing this woman.
Admittedly, I used to sympathize with peopleâs reasons for using TME/TMA terminology in communal spaces. I felt obligated to use it since it was the least I could do for my peers. In retrospect, this terminology is flawed. People regard it as another version for AGAB terminology (which cannot be stressed enough that it was appropriated from intersex spaces in the first place), but itâs deeper than that.
I am not a woman, but your average person is going to assume I am a black woman. They have the potential to exercise the same violent misogynoirist, or even transmisogynoirist, mindset against me as Tommy Wayne Earl had against Michelle Dionne Peacock. My experiences arenât like that of an actual black trans woman, nor was it for Michelle, but that doesnât change the fact that our societies donât care about distinction. Our societies can and will operate on its own optics regardless of who we are, and once they perceive us one way, they arenât going to stop and check if thatâs actually true or applies to their beliefs. If American white supremacists can still peddle âMichelle Obama is a man!â conspiracies in 2026 and with confidence, what makes you think our societies as a whole will suddenly start caring about who does or doesnât apply to their systems of oppression?
Not only does this terminology overlook the nuances of sex and how it is experienced among people, but it also overlooks nuances like the racialization of gender and sex, especially when those nuances CAN and HAVE led to the discrimination of people like Michelle Dionne Peacock, Caster Semenya, Serena Williams, Michelle Obama, that woman getting dressed, and many, many more.
You cannot separate these cases of racist, misogynoirist discrimination and violence from the transmisogynistic rhetoric therein. You simply canât. Itâs all connected. The notion that any of these women are men relies on our societiesâ fearmongering around black people and transgender people alike as well as how they dehumanize us. Worst of all, we see the fallout of that constantly in our communities, seeing how black trans peopleâ especially black trans womenâ hold the highest statistics of being hate-crimed out of any other transgender demographic.
The more I looked into these cases, the more I stopped referring to myself as âTMEâ. If we can acknowledge that transphobia is capable of affecting cisgender people, then how is it any different from acknowledging that our societiesâ weaponization of gender and sex canât be binarized by something like TME or TMA? Cisgender black womenâ be them perisex or intersexâ most certainly are affected by transmisogyny, given the many ways misogynoirist and transmisogynistic ideologies intersect. Those circumstances alone show why TME/TMA distinctions ARE arbitrary.
