Forgive me for making yet another post about the French Revolution but one small detail that makes me laugh is when, as things started to go seriously wrong, one of Louis XVI's advisers tried to persuade him & Marie-Antoinette to get away from Paris and wait for things to calm down (the idea was "if you lay low and wait, the newly-created National Assembly will vote something stupid and lose popular support" which was a solid plan honestly.) But he was also like "whatever you do, DO NOT go East or South or people will think you'll get help from other monarchies to restore your power and that won't calm things down"
So the King was advised to flee to Normandy, which... is just a short ferry ride away from another monarchy. But that's completely different since it's England. To be fair to the English, the French monarchy had basically bankrupted itself a few years back to send millions in support of the American revolutionaries because it would be a shame not to take advantage of "perhaps the best opportunity for centuries to come to put England in its place" (actual quote by France's minister of Foreign Affairs in 1777)

The world where all gods are female, or a world with no gods because women are right there being the creator. Coulda been born into the world where man is divorced from God and has to go through his wife rather than the other way around because woman is closer to God in heaven by being God on earth. The one where women outliving men in harsh conditions is testament to the fact that it's better for men to die than use up our resources. The world where women are seen as natural leaders by leading their children. The world where lineage is purely matriarchal. The world where only the most fit and good looking men even get the chance to reproduce because male's role in reproduction is an expendable cheap resource, so you only need the most fit men. The world where women are choosing partners because of this. The world where men are the ones questioning their worth because their looks have been called to question for thousands of years, not ours. The world where women are described as "visual creatures" with our superior color vision to back it up.
Or I could've been born into an equal society where we don't get philosophical about muscle mass and pregnancy and small physical differences.
But no, had to be born not only into a world where men have warped the value of women, but also the world where like every woman buys into it and believes the bullshit.

The first time I did this exercise I looked at the blackboard and I thought, āOh my God. Why would they give it up?ā I then decided to ask the men: Why give it up? They then filled a two-by-two foot space on the blackboard with things like, āget arrested,ā ādivorce,ā āget protection orders taken out against you,ā āadult kids donāt invite you to their weddings,ā āhave to go to groups like this.ā That was about it.
This was the first time I fully comprehended the necessity of a consistent coordinated community response through the criminal, civil, and family court systems which can mete out safe and effective interventions that hold men who batter accountable while preserving the safety of the women, girls, and boys they abuse. It was on that day that I realized if I had to choose between providing batterer groups for men who batter or a consistently effective criminal and civil/family court response to domestic violence, I would choose the criminal and civil/family court response every time. There are just too many benefits gained from this behavior.
If you exclude intergalactic space toads from your feminism, can you even call yourself a feminist? Probably not.
If feminism doesnāt include intergalactic space toads, then itās not real feminism. And if it doesnāt include prostate owners who canāt get pregnant, mothers who donate semen, and people who are terrorized by hairdressers asking what their genitals look like, then, again, again, thatās not real feminism. If you exclude these groups, can you even call yourself a feminist? The answer is āno.ā So who is feminism for?
Feminism is not for people who donāt centre lady dick; these people are not real feminists. Thereās a reason the lady peens (those fantastic female phalluses) stand erect: itās because they are meant to draw our attention, every last bit, like spires in the distance guiding us to liberation. Now, letās talk about talking about feminism. If your feminist rhetoric doesnāt include clappy hands (emoticons only, always refrain from real life clapping to be inclusive of the neurodiverse) between every word, then No (CLAP) One (CLAP) Can (CLAP) Hear (CLAP) You (CLAP). Only bigots donāt clap between words because they secretly know they are bigots and donāt want to draw attention to what they have to say. Real feminists know this.
These are some words that constitute dog-whistles for anti-feminist hate speech: vagina; vulva; uterus; woman; mother; and biology. Watch out for these, feminists know they are bad words and wonāt ever use them. Also watch out for AFABs (assigned females at birth) who reject their cis-ness. They are TERFs.
We all know thereās no cis in team, but did you also know that itās feminism, not femiCISm? Everyone knows thereās no such thing as the āmythical biological female,ā so letās please make it illegal for uterus-havers to talk about their so-called biology. Iāve been transitioning FTM for 6 years, on testosterone for a total of 3 years and 9 months, and testosterone completely damaged my body & life.
While taking testosterone I experienced;
- High blood pressure in hypertension stage one
- Glaucoma developing from ocular hypertension (from hormone fluctuations)
- Eye twitching/Dryness/Seeing spots & flashes
- Intense back pain
- Migraines (1-4 times a week)
- Debilitating body aches
- Sciatic leg pain that would wake me up
- Chest pain/Shortness of breath/Heart flutters/Palpitations
- Severe uterus cramping
- Vaginal atrophy
- Constant dizziness
- Scalp soreness/tenderness from rapid hair loss
- Face skin very oily
- Sweating/Hot flash problems
- Sleep apnea/Loud snoring/Choking in sleep
- Difficulty swallowing/Choking when eating
- Bladder retention with burning urination
- Protein in my urine during pee tests
- Rise in bad cholesterol on blood tests
- Painful fibrocystic breast tissue
- Full body paresthesia, especially in face/nose/arms/hands
(this I hated most, as it caused extreme stress & fear)
- Scary and upsetting dreams frequently
- Huge increase in depression/suicidal urges and anxiety
- Stopped being able to cry around 4 months on T
- Had hard time feeling deep emotions/Felt very void/empty
- Less emotional response towards situations and other people
- Less inner dialogue/Shut off most internal chatter/thoughts
- Aggressive (physically & verbally), assertive, argumentative personality
(which is the opposite of me pre-T)
- My personality and thought patterns changed uncontrollably
*** My T levels were always perfect and spot on. Iāve had 72 hour heart monitor tests, breast ultrasounds, vaginal ultrasounds, MRI on my spine and brain, and many blood/urine/eye/full physical tests over the years to figure what is wrong with me. But everything has always come back saying Iām fine and its side effects from the testosterone. T was killing me, and desecrated my life. I literally couldnāt take it anymore. Iām 4 months off T at this point and Iām still suffering.
This isnāt to discredit medical transition, but T was very dangerous to my body. It was hurting me in so many waysā¦ ways I never imagined. More studies really need to be done on the side effects and harm that T can cause. I was always told, ātestosterone wonāt hurt you, it only raises your risks to a bio male level.ā Well that was very untrue for me, as Iām sure AMAB people do no deal with all these issues, all at once.Ā
i experienced several of these symptoms as well but ESPECIALLY the leg pain!! it was agonising, i could barely move or stand, and all i could think of that could be causing it was testosterone, since it seemed to get worse just after my shot - but there is no information whatsoever about this. iād never heard of it before and the nurse who administered my shot hadnāt either, she didnāt think it could be related but since coming off T i havenāt experienced it again. we desperately need more research into the side effects of testonsterone on female bodies instead of just touting out that it ājustā gives you the same risks as biological males.

Iāve read this story elsewhere too, and itās a pretty horrifying one, even if itās got a happy ending. She did end up scheduling the abortion and a Planned Parenthood employee actually saved her daughterās life. The nurse realized she was being coerced into it and helped her to fake proof that sheād had it, at which point Nathan made it clear that he still wasnāt interested in staying with her and she could see for a fact that the pressure to abort her daughter was about avoiding any financial responsibility and heād never had any intention of staying with her.
This isnātĀ āabortion cultureā, this is men. Men forcibly or carelessly impregnate women and then force them to carry babies they donāt want, or they force them to abort babies they do want. Both have been happening well before abortion was ever explicitly illegal, both happened while abortion was explicitly illegal, and it has continued after abortion was legalized. The problem isnāt and never has been abortion. The problem is men.
