#lmao we’re lowkey like WAIT WE CAN BUY A NICE ASS TOWNHOUSE IN WALKING DISTANCE TO DOWNTOWN #our friend lives in that neighborhood so we were browsing Zillow #and like…a tiny condo in the burbs is $250k here #but we could get a WHOLE ASS HOUSE #with a CUTE GARDEN #brb moving to Baltimore #nah no joke tho we loved it #it rained the whole time which sucks #but we really want to go back and explore more of the city #it’s such a perfect combo of southern + northern culture #I had caramel + old bay ice cream which was SO GOOD #Baltimore #excuse me while I gush about Baltimore #I haven’t been since I was very little #so it was great to explore after only driving by it a thousand times on the way to PA #also I bet the public archaeology + history scene would be VERY COOL #like so much history everywhere #so many buildings with the scars of what they once were #and what they’ve become #Baltimore lemon stick

okay so if you need more veggies/fruit, protein or fibre (bc most people do NOT eat enough) in your diet but you struggle to do so, hear me out:

look up recipes (especially snack recipes) that are child/toddler/baby-friendly

i can guarantee there is a woman with a cooking blog out there who has found away to pack a bunch of vegetables into a surprisingly delicious little snack for her kids. this process has never failed me when i feel like i am not eating enough fruits and veggies. my entire flat is eating spinach muffins at the moment, which doesn’t sounding particularly appealing to most people and yet somehow. they’re delicious.

They know when they are thieving and you can see it on their faces. Squirrels are thieves but they don't know that. They know "take" and "have" but they don't comprehend what it is to steal. Today, a few Art Nouveau alphabets from an early 20th-century Dutch manual for sign painters, as reproduced in ABZ, edited by Julian Rothenstein and Mel Gooding, and published in San Francisco by Chronicle Books in 2003 (an earlier edition was published by Shambhala in 1993 as Alphabets & Other Signs).

Y’all, I’m tickled pink.

Very long story short, I helped at an event in collaboration with a faculty member from the history department. I hadn’t met her until I got to the event, we didn’t even interact that much.

But I noticed a book near her things and I was reading the back of it and remarked to someone (I don’t even remember who) that it sounded like something right up my alley, and I pulled out my phone to add it to my to-be-read list.

I get to work this morning and my coworker says “Hey! Dr. History wanted me to give you something. She noticed you seemed really interested in it.”

And it’s the book 😭
