I am going to make rant art about something I noticed and I need you all to engage with it in good faith or so fucking help me.

Has racism in fandom gotten worse or have you been more online than in the past? Because it's been so bad for me in the past that I skip a great deal now. Also, people acknowledge it even less. Especially on this site. This site is VERY ADVANCED in ignoring racism and ignoring outcries about racism in fandoms. And it always has been, but there used to be more POC here than there are now. That might also make it seem like the racism has gotten worse. The white people have gotten to such a number in most spaces that finding people who care about racism will always be one of the lesser concerns within pretty much all fandoms. But other things? Particularly the things that might affect THEM - Yes, those are things that they care about. I don't think they're any worse, but I do think that they're... cooler with ignoring things regarding race if they care about other social issues, because they feel justified in ignoring racism and often believe that caring about any other issue exempts them from caring about racism

Remember when Xbox was going to basically ban used games for the xbox one, and Playstation made fun of them with that video titled "how to share games on Playstation" and it was just one guy handing another a game disk? And now Playstation is getting rid of physical disks entirely
