#I'm not a big fan of this episode but this bit is gold

I finished The Adventure of the Illustrious Client. I actually quite liked that one. It was exciting and had a lot of memorable moments. The villain threatening to have Holmes attacked and then it actually happening, Watson rushing to his side, Watson learning all about Chinese pottery at Holmes request, and the attempt to distract him which the villain saw through. Idk, I enjoyed reading it. I'd rank it decently high in my favorite of the short stories

Watson rushing to Holmes side after Mrs Hudson tells him that Holmes is dying and Holmes refusing to let Watson help him, leaving Watson sick with worry sounds like the kind of angst filled shipping story you'd see in fanfiction, but no, its a canon story from Doyle himself

And you can add Holmes getting beaten in the street by men hired by a suspect and Watson rushing to his side, Holmes saying "Don't be scared Watson, its not as bad as it looks" apparently
