I'm trying to think about how this AU could work. At first I was thinking about Azura looking for a cure? But then also thinking about the idea of instead of Narinder being trapped, it's Kallamar. And due to the anger and betrayal, Kall wishes revenge to give the plague to everyone.

Azura is either a scientist or a doctor, who once had a child who became very ill. They tried many medicines and experiments, but nothing worked. They even try to pray to any bishop, but none of them helped. Azura's child passed away. While Azura was also dying of the illness, Kallamar revives them, and tell them to be their Vessal. Misson them to gain a cult and spread the disease to the non believers. Azura only accepted due to their anger and hatred towards the other bishops.

Its only after killing the bishops, and losing another person they cared about, did they snapped out of their vengeance, and remembers why they become a doctor in the first place (also remembering the fact that Kallamar spread the plague, killing most people, including Azura's child).

After betraying and defeating Kallamar. Azura, while still working as a cult leader, tries to make things right by saving other followers who were corrupted (Becoming undead) or very ill.
