as a senior, i know that a lot of my peers are experiencing senioritis and i know that highschool can be tough in general. it's so easy to slack off and fall behind but as someone who pushed through and is graduating next year with flying colors i wanted to share some of my best tips for the dolls still in the midst of highschool...💬🎀
FIND YOUR WHY ;
what is your dream? what is your goal? why are you doing this? and be raw and real with yourself. if your having trouble deciphering your "why", find someone to compete with. now im not telling you to go up to the person and say "hey im competing with you" nor am i telling you to be weird and hostile. NO. a little healthy competition now and then is so good for you.

how to make 2026 your most productive and transformative year
⟢﹒ eliminate negative thoughts about the new year :
So many people fall into the trap of endlessly scrolling through 2026 *toxic* preparation content, comparing themselves to curated versions of other people’s lives, and then panicking that they aren’t “perfectly ready.” sstop that. There’s no magical formula for January 1st. Wanting to start exercising or adopt new habits? That’s great but it doesn’t need to mirror someone else’s schedule or social media post. Trying to force an idealized version of your life immediately is the fastest way to burnout. The reality is, lasting change happens gradually, step by step. Constantly worrying, “What if I don’t start perfectly?” or “What if my first morning doesn’t look aesthetic like xx ?” is not motivation it’s a mental trap instead shift your focus: progress over perfection process over instant results !
⟢ . focus on three pillars that will define your year:
Discipline, self-care, and a growth mindset. Discipline is the engine it turns your intentions into consistent action, helping you follow through even when motivation fades. But discipline alone isn’t enough. Without self-care, your energy depletes, ur focus falters, and the very habits you’re trying to build become unsustainable. Self-care is what keeps your mind and body fueled, ensuring your effort lasts , but even with discipline and energy, you still need a growth mindset. This is what allows you to see challenges as opportunities, mistakes as lessons, and setbacks as stepping stones rather than failures. Without it, progress is fragile and easily derailed by doubt or frustration. When you actively develop all three, the effect is compounding: discipline gives structure, self-care sustains it, and a growth mindset multiplies the results by turning every experience into learning and improvement. neglect any one of these pillars, and the system collapses: no discipline means no action, no self-care means burnout, and no growth mindset means stagnation. But when balanced together, they create a powerful framework for productivity, resilience, and long-term fulfillment. Master these three pillars, and u don’t just achieve your goals u thrive, grow, and build momentum that carries you through every challenge the yeeear brings.
⟢﹒ establish a stable morning routine.
Whether you’re a student or not, the way you start your morning sets the tone for your entire day. This doesn’t mean creating a ten-step routine that feels rigid and impossible to maintain. Even two mornings a week that are intentionally peaceful can make a maaassive difference. Wake up slightly earlier, enjoy a good breakfast, go for a short walk, or simply take time to do something that brings you joy. Romanticize your mornings , make them special because when your morning is grounded in calm and intention, the rest of your day will naturally feel more productive, more focused, and more fulfilling. Even if the afternoon is hectic, you’ll have started your day with a sense of accomplishment and peace which will make u feel proud and motivated for the rest of the day .
⟢﹒ build a supportive goal system
One of the most effective ways to actually achieve your goals is to build a supportive, interconnected goal system and this is something that has helped me accomplish the majority of what I set out to do. The idea is simplee : your goals shouldn’t exist in isolation. Each goal should support and reinforce other goals, creating a chain reaction that makes progress inevitable. for example, let’s say one of your goals is to wake up early at 5 or 6 a.m. That goal alone is just a time on the clock but if you connect it to another goal, like having a morning routine that includes exercise, journaling, or focused study ect ect , it suddenly gains purpose. To achieve that first goal waking up early you naturally need to prepare the night before: sleep earlier, reduce distractions, and plan your morning. Each of these smaller, supportive micro actions becomes a mini-goal that feeds into the bigger one. This system proves itself over and over " goals that support other goals are easier to stick with, more motivating, and more likely to create real, lasting results" . You’re no longer trying to accomplish random tasks u’re building a network of habits and actions that pull each other forward. So success doesn’t come from a single isolated goal it comes from designing a goal ecosystem that sets you up to win consistently !
⟢﹒stop telling ppl ur goals
One of the biggest mistakes people make when pursuing their goals is telling everyone about them . It might seem harmless to share your plans with "friends" or family, but the reality is that not everyone will support you or even understand your journey . take for example, a weight-loss goal. u might casually mention it to a “friend” thinking it’s harmless . Over time, instead of encouragement, you may start hearing judgments like, “Oh I guess you’re not making progress,” or “Have you gained weight?” suuddenly what should have been motivation turns into pressure, shame, or disappointment. This is bad because it directly affects ur mindset. When you feel judged or criticized, u have two main reactions : either you overwork yourself in an attempt to prove them wrong, which often leads to burnout, or you give up entirely, feeling discouraged before you’ve even made real progress. The truth is ur goals are personal, and the most effective progress happens in private, focused action, not public announcement. Keeping your goals to yourself protects ur mental energy, reduces external pressure, and allows you to measure success on your own terms without being swayed by others’ opinions .
⟢﹒hack your habits
One of the most effective ways to overcome unproductive toxic habits is to replace them with a HEALTHY OBSESSION , and here’s why this approach works. for example , mindless scrolling, binge-watching, or endlessly checking social media , constantly comparing yourself , overconsumption of junk food ... this rewires ur brain to crave constant, low-level stimulation. Simply telling yourself to “stop” rarely works because habits are reinforced by attention and reward. Trying to quit without a replacement is like taking a phone away from someone addicted to notifications u only leave a void that your brain will fill with the same old habit. this is where a healthy obsession becomes essential. When you redirect your attention toward something meaningful walking, journaling, reading non-fiction, learning a new skill , or exploring new places parks / cafés / resto .. u activate the same mechanism that fuels habits, but in a productive and growth-oriented way. Your brain begins to seek stimulation from positive, engaging activities instead of mindless distractions. Over time these constructive behaviors reinforce self-discipline, focus, and personal growth, while the old, unhelpful habits naturally fade !

Life Reboot: Part 1
There is exactly two weeks until school reopens and I am yet to accomplish all of the things that I told myself that I would do during this break. Come with me as I get ready to go back to school and prep myself for the upcoming academic year. Here are a few things that I'll be doing to bolster this process:
Working out everyday: I realized that I have become weaker and less energetic lately due to me sitting at home for most of the day and that's gonna hinder my ability to perform my best when school start so I'll start of with short walks and simple stretches first and then move onto harder workouts.
Fixing my sleep schedule: I barely get anything done nowadays despite telling myself that I would do it because I find myself really tired and lethargic. Fixing my sleep schedule can help tackle this issue greatly and also help in increasing my energy levels for the day.
Digital Detox: The past month has been quite boring with nothing much to do and I turned to social media and forms of short-form entertainment to combat this and it has turned into a full blown addiction lately. It's scary how much time I'm losing without even realizing. I'm gonna be off of social media like Instagram because that's where my main problems lie. I'll be completely off this entire week and use it in a controlled manner next week.
Reconnecting Socially: Being an introvert I find it quite easy to just spend my days alone without talking to anyone and that isn't exactly the healthiest thing to do so I'm gonna be trying to keep in touch with my friends more and also try to hang out with them. This can help me get back into that mindset that'll be required in school.
Going through what will be taught: I'm gonna be completely honest right now and say that I have forgot everything that was being taught in school so I'll be using this time to go through everything and actually be able to focus in class as well instead of sitting there lost trying to remember what they taught.
This is all for this week I'll update next week and let you know how I did. Let me know what you want me to talk about and I'll try my best to do it. <3

The No-Therapist Guide to Becoming Emotionally Untouchable (In a Healthy Way)
by Soleau Club
Let’s get one thing straight: we’re not anti-therapy. We love a licensed bestie. But sometimes you need a DIY plan to emotionally boss up before the co-pay clears.
This isn’t about going cold and cynical. It’s about becoming so emotionally grounded, so tapped into your own self-worth, that nothing—no man, no comment, no chaos spiral—can knock you off your center. It’s giving inner peace in a La Mer headband.
Here’s how to build that calm, hot girl shield from the inside out—therapist-free (for now).

Free Classics Courses - With Certificates!
Studying "the classics" is a rich, rewarding and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Unfortunately these days, many of us lack the opportunity or resources to integrate ancient civilisations and languages into our formal education.
I, for one, am forever grateful that the advent of the digital age heralded new and interesting ways for society to share a wealth of information. Since the early noughties, I've tracked down free online courses in areas of personal interest. Naturally, the Classics is a subject I gravitated towards, and it saddened me to notice that over time free courses in the arts and humanities dwindled in favour of modern, digital, knowledge.
However, I am gladdened to share that OpenLearn (a branch of The Open University) have a growing selection of free Classics courses! All of these courses offer a free certificate to download and print on completion, and are drawn from the various undergraduate courses provided by the university proper.
These courses vary in length and difficulty, but provide an excellent starting point for anyone interested in the Classics, or who would like to sample university level content before committing to a more formal course of study.
Here is a full list of courses in the Classics category at OpenLearn, though I strongly suspect more will be added over time:
The Ancient Olympics: bridging past and present
Highlights the similarities and differences between our modern Games and the Ancient Olympics and explores why today, as we prepare for future Olympics, we still look back at the Classical world for meaning and inspiration.
Discovering Ancient Greek and Latin
Gives a taste of what it is like to learn two ancient languages. It is for those who have encountered the classical world through translations of Greek and Latin texts and wish to know more about the languages in which these works were composed.
Getting started on classical Latin
Developed in response to requests from learners who had had no contact with Latin before and who felt they would like to spend a little time preparing for the kind of learning that studying a classical language involves. The course will give you a taster of what is involved in the very early stages of learning Latin and will offer you the opportunity to put in some early practice.
Continuing classical Latin
Gives the opportunity to hear a discussion of the development of the Latin language.
Introducing Homer's Iliad
Focuses on the epic poem telling the story of the Trojan War. It begins with the wider cycle of myths of which the Iliad was a part. It then looks at the story of the poem itself and its major theme of Achilles' anger, in particular in the first seven lines. It examines some of the characteristic features of the text: metre, word order and epithets. Finally, it explores Homer's use of simile. The course should prepare you for reading the Iliad on your own with greater ease and interest.
Hadrian's Rome
Explores the city of Rome during the reign of the emperor Hadrian (117-38 CE). What impact did the emperor have on the appearance of the city? What types of structures were built and why? And how did the choices that Hadrian made relate to those of his predecessors, and also of his successors?
The Body in Antiquity
Will introduce you to the concept of the body in Greek and Roman civilisation. In recent years, the body has become a steadily growing field in historical scholarship, and Classical Studies is no exception. It is an aspect of the ancient world that can be explored through a whole host of different types of evidence: art, literature and archaeological artefacts to name but a few. The way that people fulfil their basic bodily needs and engage in their daily activities is embedded in the social world around them. The body is a subject that can reveal fascinating aspects of both Greek and Roman culture it will help you to better understand the diversity of ancient civilisation.
Library of Alexandria
One of the most important questions for any student of the ancient world to address is 'how do we know what we know about antiquity?' Whether we're thinking about urban architecture, or love poetry, or modern drama, a wide range of factors shape the picture of antiquity that we have today. This free course, Library of Alexandria, encourages you to reflect upon and critically assess those factors. Interpreting an ancient text, or a piece of material culture, or understanding an historical event, is never a straightforward process of 'discovery', but is always affected by things such as translation choices, the preservation (or loss) of an archaeological record, or the agendas of scholars.
Introducing the Classical World
How do we learn about the world of the ancient Romans and Greeks? This free course, Introducing the Classical world, will provide you with an insight into the Classical world by introducing you to the various sources of information used by scholars to draw together an image of this fascinating period of history.
Introducing Virgil's Aeneid
This free course offers an introduction to the Aeneid. Virgil’s Latin epic, written in the 1st century BCE, tells the story of the Trojan hero Aeneas and his journey to Italy, where he would become the ancestor of the Romans. Here, you will focus on the characterisation of this legendary hero, and learn why he was so important to the Romans of the Augustan era. This course uses translations of Virgil’s poem, and assumes no prior knowledge of Latin, but it will introduce you to some key Latin words and phrases in the original text.
Icarus: entering the world of myth
An introduction to one of the best-known myths from classical antiquity and its various re-tellings in later periods. You will begin by examining how the Icarus story connects with a number of other ancient myths, such as that of Theseus and the Minotaur. You will then be guided through an in-depth reading of Icarus’ story as told by the Roman poet Ovid, one of the most important and sophisticated figures in the history of ancient myth-making. After this you will study the way in which Ovid’s Icarus myth has been reworked and transformed by later poets and painters.
Getting started on ancient Greek
A taster of the ancient Greek world through the study of one of its most distinctive and enduring features: its language.
The course approaches the language methodically, starting with the alphabet and effective ways to memorise it, before building up to complete Greek words and sentences. Along the way, you will see numerous real examples of Greek as written on objects from the ancient world.
Travelling for Culture: The Grand Tour
In the eighteenth century and into the early part of the nineteenth, considerable numbers of aristocratic men (and occasionally women) travelled across Europe in pursuit of education, social advancement and entertainment, on what was known as the Grand Tour. A central objective was to gain exposure to the cultures of classical antiquity, particularly in Italy. In this free course, you’ll explore some of the different kinds of cultural encounters that fed into the Grand Tour, and will explore the role that they play in our study of Art History, English Literature, Creative Writing and Classical Studies today.

the ability to see more beauty in the world is a skill. the more beauty you see, the more comes to you, the more you create yourself. so much of the disempowerment people feel is because they are trained to see the ugly and negative in everything. you have to unpick your mind from the lure of negativity and train yourself to find beauty. if you want a beautiful life, it starts with learning to find the beauty everywhere.
Non-Aesthetic Fitness and Health Goals 🏃🏼♀️🥥🧘🏼♀️
Here are some health and wellness goals that don’t revolve around weight or appearances. Working out shpuld always be for your health and well-being rather than looks. You have one body and you have to be able to make it last. Your body is the house where your soul lives.
To be able to fully touch your toes.
To run a mile nonstop (doesn’t matter the pace just to not stop)
Do a handstand
To be able to do the splits
10 regular push-up
10 pull ups unassisted
To be able to swim a mile nonstop (same as the running)
To have good posture and core strength
Walk/jog a 5k
To be able to lift half your body weight (great goal to build up to and very practical for real life)
To get off the ground without using your hands (amazing for as you age being able to get up easier)
Be able to balance on one foot for a minute at a time.
To be able to sit in an Asian squat (great for mobility in all your leg joints)
To reduce joint pain. (Depending on the specific joint pain it can be caused by lack of strength in the muscles around the leg and you can look up specific workouts for your problem)
To improve in your chosen sport
That’s all I have for now. I wanted these goals to be attainable (some are easier than others) and not based on how you look because not only is it discouraging but it’s also not as fun to only think about looks. These goals are also great for longevity of your body and also safety. Being strong and fit is a privilege. Let me know if you guys have any questions!

five random social “skills” i learned due to life experience
it’s okay to bring up your own experience when someone is telling you about their experience, as long as you circle it back to them. “is that what you mean? is that similar to your experience, or was yours different? what did you think of xyz?”
follow-up questions are always okay! when someone is done explaining something to you, ask them something along the lines of, “so, I just do this & that? / and then [result] will happen?” soo many people will appreciate your effort to understand and it’s also a good way to end a conversation instead of the slightly awkward “oh, okay, thank you– yes, thanks. got it! thank you.”
remember the details about people to refer to later. even if it’s just small talk. if you think it might be awkward, you can casually be like “wasn’t it you who told me about this..?” which indicates that what they told you was, in a way, important to you.
never underestimate the power of compliments. not only will you make someone feel good, but chances are they’ll expand on the conversation by adding where they got something, how they feel about something or simply how much they appreciate you noticing.
make kind honesty a habit (even more so than brutal honesty). tell people about the things you admire about them, express your gratitude even when it’s for mundane reasons, give advice to help others be better and not just to be critical, take a moment to tell someone you appreciate their presence, conversation, etc. be open and generous with your love and watch it find its way back to you.
