Spending $$$ on yourself is not selfish ! Go get your lashes, nails, & toes done. Also throw in a facial ! In order to be the best you, you need to feel confident and ready for any outing.
Even if it’s just going to the grocery store, you must show up as the person you want to be !

Just as we need to cleanse our face before bed, we must cleanse our mind before we make any important decisions, purchases, and connections. If your mind is a mess, you will not be able to evolve !

Clean your room ! Your room is a direct image of your mental state.
Clean your sheets, surfaces, and organizers.
Organize your makeup, skincare, and closet.
Clean out your phone
Unfollow people that don’t bring you joy, or are just flat out toxic.

Please please don’t follow people you compare yourself to, it’s unhealthy. You are YOU ! You don’t need to be constantly comparing yourself to unrealistic beauty standards & people who are on a different journey than you. You’re always going to be beautiful you !
Get rid of any toxic ‘friends’ in your life, if you can’t cut them off, just fall back. Don’t share your personal projects, ideas, and goals with them anymore.
Keep to yourself, the less people know about what you have going on, the less negative energy you’re putting into your personal path of life.
Have alone time. Dedicate a few hours of each day to just be with yourself, and learn more about you. Don’t get too wrapped up in social media because you truly only have yourself !
Treat yourself with kindness 💌
When we are constantly seeing others & how well they’re doing, it can really hurt our personal beings. Not everything we see on the internet is real, and you can still be happy & content without a social media presence.
Don’t push yourself to be an image of a person that you just, aren’t ! Like I said before, you’re you. You’re always going to be your own, unique person. So please don’t follow trends & personalities that aren’t your own.
Be gentle with yourself, take care of your skin, hair, and nails. Cleanse your mind everyday, take time out of each day to care for YOU ! Take a nap, brush your hair, and tell yourself affirmations, you deserve love & comfort.
Confidence 💌
Be confident in the way you carry yourself, what’s the point of being insecure ?? You only have this one body for all we know of, so please love it ! Love every part of it, there’s nobody exactly like you.

It Girl Diary 101
Hello ! I wanted to make a post about my diary and how I go about writing in it. These photos are by me, this is my newest journal & journaling method. I hope it helps you with your personal journals.
❀. Creating an Intro Page
This is usually what I include in my ‘intro’ pages. These are like a small look into who you are & what you’re about.
Your name & number just incase your journal is lost.
The years of age you will be using this journal for memory sake.
A small collage of what you would consider your personality as of right now. Also what you strive for your life to look like.
❀. Supplies
I get most of my supplies from amazon, here’s a list of things I like to use & things you could possibly use.
Sticky notes - I like to use sticky notes for writing little notes on my pages. It can be random thoughts, or additional information on what I’m writing.
Decorative tape - There’s lots of these on Amazon. They’re so cute and really brighten up a page. I like to just use clear tape to put in photos.
Stationery - My favorite stationery packs include Sanrio, sparkles, and floral prints. You can find these at Staples, Amazon, or craft stores.
Stickers - I like to use stickers that come from brands I purchase from. Ex; Glossier or Frasiersterling. They give stickers in each package. There’s also Etsy shops that make really cute sticker designs.
Mildliner Highlighters - These are absolutely incredible highlighters. They’re pastel and so pretty. I recommend buying these first thing.
Additional misc things - Glue sticks, a fine tip black pen, something to print pictures with ( or using apps like freeprints ), scissors of course, a regular pencil, and a cute bag to keep all your supplies in.
❀. Steps to creating a page
This is a list of prompts and how to make a new page in your journal.
Favorite songs at the moment - Make a visual page.
Current routines - Write about new routines to hold yourself accountable.
New Knowledge - Write about new things you’ve learned or things you want to know more about.
Goal page - A collage of all your goals and current aspirations.
What are you grateful for ? - Write a gratitude list with personal photos.
Steps to creating this page -
What do you want to write about ? Choose a prompt or rant about something.
Print out pictures that go with what you want to write about. In my page I wanna create a collage of things that have been inspiring me lately.
Create a layout. Take a picture of your page with what you wanna put on it, then keep that as your ‘blue print’
Create your page. Place everything you want on it, then begin writing.
Decorate your page. Even if it’s something depressing, putting some decorative tape down, it can make you have a more positive association with what you’re writing about.
Date & Reflect - Date your page & reflect on what you’ve written about.

Self love brings you closer to yourself and allows you to overcome limiting thoughts. Ex; Once you start loving yourself, you’ll no longer refuse opportunities because of self doubt. This also supports your mental health by improving self image & allowing you to keep your best interest in mind.
There’s many things to love about YOU, and to remind you of your individuality & value. Here’s a list :

This is a small list of things you can look deeper into with journaling or even just thinking about. Discovering these things or recognizing them can improve your perspective of yourself so much.
Being your own bestfriend isn’t all about being alone, it’s about self acceptance. It’s about being able to treat yourself as if you have your own back 100%. This is so important because it cancels out any thoughts that may bring hopelessness or fear.
Here’s some tips on how to become your own bestfriend :
Taking care of yourself. Nurture yourself as if you’re taking care of something you really care about. Do this everyday.
Social media cleanse. Take sometime away from social media to be by yourself and keep your business private.
Talk to yourself. Look in the mirror and tell yourself affirmations, talk to yourself as if you’re talking to someone you respect.
Sticky notes. Buy a pack of sticky notes, write positive reminders on them, and place them around your space. *If you can’t do this, write reminders in your phone and look at them there.*
Admire you. Look at yourself and compliment you as if you’re talking to a friend. Push all insecurities aside.

ReaLife in Plastic Tip 6: Finances + Saving
Now of course its fun to like and reblog photos of the glamorously independent posts of beautiful people taking amazing trips, buying cars, and wearing the cutest fits. But why just like it when you too can also live it? There is a misconception that one has to have an abundance of riches in order to enjoy such a lavish lifestyle, but the truth is that all you have to do is have discipline and save. Lets talk about it:
Step 1: Planning
The best thing to do is plan out your goals towards the lifestyle or things that you want to buy. This is when you bust out your journal, pour yourself a glass of wine, put on some nice music and start putting your goals into perspective. List all the things that you want in order from least to greatest. Write down the remaining funds you have left AFTER you take care of your financial responsibilities like rent, utilities, food + gas, etc. How ever much is left over split it into thirds:
Savings (this money you add to and don’t EVER touch)
Travel (this money you add to and don’t touch until its time to take your vacation/trip that you have planned)
Spoiling (this is the play money that you will use to get yourself something nice with every check)
Now this is where you can get creative with juggling your responsibilities with your wants. Lets say for example there is a designer bag that you want to purchase but currently its a bit out of your price range. You can either merge your Travel + Spoiling funds or you can map out how long and how much it will take for you to save just your Spoiling funds in order for you to get the bag. Maybe you don’t have a desire to travel and you want to use that half to go towards expensive gifts for yourself. Thats fine too! Work this plan out the best way that suits your desires. However, no matter WE DO NOT👏🏾SPEND👏🏾 THE👏🏾 SAVINGS. If you are fresh to this then I suggest starting off with smaller goals and gifts to get the swing of things and work your way up the priority gift list. Self care is a great place to start.
Examples of starting small with S/C
Get a manicure and pedicure once every 2 weeks or so
Get a nice soothing facial once every 3 weeks or so (depending on your skin type and treatment)
Keep your hair done (this varies depending on style, texture + protective styles & etc)
Stay stocked with your favorite body mists/perfumes and lotions. Don’t let it run out.
These are good starting points because of the space in between each treatment allows u the time to keep yourself pampered while staying true to your saving without breaking the bank. Remember that spacing and pacing is the key to productive upkeep!
By starting off small you are training your mind to get in the habit of taking care of yourself and having to save in order to do so. Simple decisions also go a very long way. Choose to cook over eating out and save the money you would have spent on sushi or hibachi to one of your saving funds. This is a form of growing your bank and disciplining yourself. I assure you that you will begin to look at things at the core value of how much you truly want vs need them. Its all about giving yourself a start in the right direction and then listening to yourself along the way.

Getting in touch with your girlyness🧚🏽♀️🎀🧚🏽♀️
To me being a girly girl is all about being in touch with your femininity and being comfortable, happy, and feeling beautiful in your own skin! I’m going to tell you the ways that I do this!
(I feel like i’ve always been very girly and in touch with my femininity just because of the women i grew up around. I was rarely ever around men or anyone with masculine energy and the women who raised me were all gentle, kind, and beautiful.)
1. Maintenance: A “girly” and “feminine” woman takes care of her appearance. Her nails and toes are always done and if not then they’re well groomed, cut, filed, and moisturized. I personally get mani pedis every 2-3 weeks.
- Another part of maintenance is HAIR. You don’t always have to have your hair professionally done, BUT never go out or to somewhere like work, shopping?, etc looking crazy. Make sure your hair is clean, moisturized, and put into a cute style if you don’t want to wear it down.(And i only usually wear my hair down when it’s straight!) Some of my favorite easy hairstyles are -Half up half down with 1 ponytail or two or two buns! super cute and make you look clean and put together.
-Another HUGE part of maintenance is your skin and body care! A girly girl takes care of her face and body and she always smells AMAZING(including her breath!) I take showers and moisturize every.single.day! sometimes twice a day when i’m on my cycle! I exfoliate regularly and like to keep my body hairless because hair can carry odors! I NEVER sleep in makeup and I wash my face every morning and night and always apply my spf in the mornings! Another way to amp up your girlyness is wearing BODY GLITTER. I wear it EVERYDAY, it’s so cute and pretty and adds to your perfume!
2. Attitude: Girly girls are always or at least try to be soft and gentle with everyone! We don’t have nasty attitudes for no reason and we’re never mean to others for no reason- this DOES NOT count standing up for yourself when people come at you crazy just because you’re cute and girly and they think you shouldn’t/won’t talk back!
- I’m/ always have been described as very gentle, soft, and sweet, even by strangers. I always make sure to thank people for even the tiniest thing, i speak very softly, i don’t ever talk over or interrupt people, and i always help or try to help when i see someone that needs it. These are really just things that i do naturally, but i really think they add to and are why people think i’m very girly and soft!
- Try not to be negative. I’m also always describes as very bubbly! Encourage people, be optimistic, don’t be afraid to give people compliments!
3.Makeup/Outfits/Accessories: Your appearance is the first way people are going to see you and perceive you, if you want to be perceived as girly you have to look the part.
- Makeup: I wear makeup just about everyday i go out! If i’m doing cute tj maxx, marshall’s, etc runs then i’m probably not, but i’m still in really cute clothes!
Girly makeup is going to consist of:
- big fluffy lashes
- LIPGLOSS LIPGLOSS LIPGLOSS
- heavy blush
- glitter highlight and shadow
-Outfits: You don’t always need to be in a mini skirt or crop top to be girly! It’s ALLLLL about colors. Pastel pink, baby pink, hot pink, lilac, lavender, baby yellow, baby blue, mint green, etc are ALLL colors that are very girly and cute?
Girly outfits consist of:
-Cute loungewear and matching sets for errands
- mini skirts and mini dresses
- cute babydoll tees and girly graphic cropped tees (hello kitty, fairies, kittens,etc)
- flare jeans
-platform boots and heels
-cute comfy shoes (pastel converse, doc martens with ribbon laces, ballet flats and mary janes, etc)
-glitter sandals
-Accessories: There’s soooo many accessories to amp up your girlyness and i think this may be the easiest part !
Girly accessories consist of:
-Purses. I LOVEEEE cute purses whether it’s shoulder bags, tote bags, or mini backpacks I ALWAYS carry one to keep my girly essentials in.
-Jewelry. You can find cute girly and affordable jewelry anywhere! They have super cute pieces at hot topic, spencer’s, and even thrifts! My everyday jewelry are pieces that were given to me that i never take off but when i want something fun those are definitely the places i look at first!
-Keychains. I ALWAYS have a sanrio keychain on the purse i’m carrying. They definitely are a must have for girly girls and make whatever bag you’re carrying extra adorable. they’re on my car keys too!

During the week, I usually carry my neverfull tote because i’m a girl who loves to have her entire life with her!And these are the things that i think are MAJOR girly everyday necessities!
Hygiene:

• Disinfectant wipes
I always sanitize my hands whenever i have to touch gas pumps, atms, shopping carts etc! And disinfectant wipes are PERFECT for restaurant tables! Yes i know i’m quite a germaphobe lol
Beauty:
I carry two separate pouches with me for my loose beauty products!
• Lipgloss
• Lash glue
• Tweezers
• Lip balm/oil
• compact mirror
• Face powder/ mini brush
• Oil blotting sheets
• Hand lotion (strawberry poundcake is my FAV)
• Body spray/ perfume
Miscellaneous:
• Pill case with medication
• Gum/ Candy and snacks
• Bandaids
• Headphones
• Charger

Pampering and self care is so important when it comes to confidence, it helps you become a fresh & pretty version of yourself. Here’s some things to do on a regular basis for your routine.
Using a facial roller. These can be themed or plain. It’s great for cooling your skin and adding a luxurious touch to your spa routine.
Grooming your eyebrows and facial hair. This requires tweezers, small shavers, and maybe aloe vera. ( Makes your skin super soft ! )
Investing in new products. Whenever you have the resources, purchase one or two new products to treat yourself for either you hair, skin, or nails.
Eyelash & brow serums. This helps your lash & brows become fuller and longer.
Taking vitamins. There’s a lot of different supplements for appearance. Make sure to research before purchasing.

Analog Year
I’ve been seeing a lot of discussions and ideas the past week about living a more analog life but really you can try new (old) things at any time during the year. I started acquiring DVDs and CDs in the last few months—primarily from thrift stores and from our pile at work marked for withdrawal. And I’ve been making zines by hand for years. I also looked over my reading for the year and I did about fifty percent in print. So when I say this will be my analog year, I just mean continue what I’m doing but with more intentionality.
I have an upcycling sewing project in the works, and I have this solo rpg that involves sewing that I want to try, and an embroidery kit I got as a present.
I have started a few topic-specific notebooks (fashion, architecture, poetry) that I mean to continue though I still rely on a digital journal for when I need to dump or work through something.
I might try burning CDs at some point. And I want to fill a scrapbook of collected ephemera and printed photos. Will try creating a weekly movie night tradition whether DVDs or streaming. And I want to add new recipes to my recipe book. (I only add stuff I’ve tried and would want to recreate.)
I also want to annotate/draw marginalia in a book I own, write and draw on my backpack, memorize dance steps and song lyrics, send a letter or postcard by snail mail, hand-bind a notebook/make an artist book, and carve a rubber stamp or two.

Yeah a library is a place of books, but most importantly, it's a hub of knowledge . Some places where you can learn a lot of include: articles, channels, interviews, websites, audiobooks, aka the media
HOW TO LEARN AND INTERACT WITH THIS INFO
How to force yourself to learn it in the first place: Have the page up and let it sit there on an interesting page (or article or point of the movie) so that when you remember and glance at it you’ll want to read or know more and keep going.
The best way to know a lot about something is to deep dive into it and the best way to do that is to rabbit hole. For medias and books, you can start by researching:
Their sources
Their author/directors/creator’s : other works, inspirations or any considered successor, life (specific experiences that might have shaped who they are)
How to interact with the knowledge you’ve just learn
Discuss it, debate it, teach it, sing it, write it, just share it
HOW TO ORGANIZE ALL THESE BOOKS (what I do)
Make folders on File Explorer or alternatives (for e.g. i have a folder of all my books and another for my movies with subfolders)
Make lists of books you have and books on the tbr list
Sites/apps for notetaking : Notion, Obsidian, Arena, Milanote

now, to answer your lovely question ; as someone who struggles with anxiety & depression, finding softness & calm in my day-to-day is very important to me (♡) i often try to plan nice off-days in my busy week, but i tend to "over-book" my day with too many activities, and i end up feeling pressured to accomplish everything and burn out without enjoying anything ~ so my advise to you would be to plan little pleasant activities and listen to your body & your energy level ; for example, if you had planned to go on a short hike, read a good book, and bake something yummy, but you end up doing only one of these activities because doing more would tire you, than it is perfectly fine 👌🏻 soft & cozy days come from listening to your needs and fulfilling them without guilt, and appreciating the little things of the present moment ; like the first sip of your favourite drink, or the fizzling of joy from your fav tune, or the comfort of a warm shower 🍵🌿🛁 coziness comes from feeling calm & soothed in the present moment ; you are never more at home than within yourself so making it as pleasant and safe as possible should always be your first priority 💫

normalizing the introduction of a bit of chaos into your life is self-care ; your "reset day" doesn't have to be on sunday, because sometimes you need to recharge in bed all sunday & don't have time for face-mask & vacuuming & laundry, and that's okay. monday doesn't have to be super productive, either. on sunday, i watched episodes of "full house", cuddled with my kitty, ate my three meals a day, played animal crossing, wrote a letter & worked on a tiny illustration for a friend, and showered before bed ; no workout, laundry, or fancy whatever, and that is perfectly okay ♡ i got up at 10, didn't cook any fancy meals & didn't leave my pjs all day ~ today is monday, and i got out of bed at 9, played some more animal crossing, had an omelette & tea for breakfast around 10, watered my little desk tree, and put my bedsheet in the wash : it's almost noon & i haven't accomplished a bazillion tasks before 11 a.m, and that's okay ~ live at your own pace, do what you can ( even if it seems so tiny & insignificant, trust me : it's much more than you think ), and be kind to yourself ~

--- 18022022 : today was very productive but also very exhausting 👌🏻 started the day with veggie gyozas, a clementine, and mint tea - with the second season of "space force" 🍵🍊🥟 then, i played some animal crossing, before going out to bring the cake for my mama's students ~ i ate a quick lunch (a rice bowl, with eggs, cucumber, grilled tofu, mango, and sesame seeds ♡), and started on my weekly cleaning chores 🧹🌿 at the end of the school day, i went to mama's school again, with my brothers, to help out with sticking students's projects in notebooks with big glue sticks ; all the kids were in costume and a little girl had came as a pirate princess - def my favourite 👸🏿🤍 we worked until 7, went home very sore, and ordered take-out for dinner ~ i showered + had noodles & veggie eggrolls & miso soup, infront of the first two episodes of the fourth season of "the marvelous mrs maisel" 🥡🛁🕯going to bed never felt better, hehe 💤
--- 23022022 : i slept until 10:30 a.m and still felt tired throughout the day, haha ~ i played some "animal crossing", while drinking my morning tea, and watched a couple more episodes of "the cuphead show" (morning cartoons are my fav thing to watch during breakfast ♡) 🐰🌿🍑🍵 after lunch, i got dressed for class, took the train early to pick up my methodology graded exam papers, and then waited in the courtyard for my 4:00 p.m class ~ i drank an oat milk iced white mocha latte, while doodling in my sketchbook & listening to some happy tunes ☁️🤍 after class, i stopped by the k-mart to restock on frozen veggie gyozas, which i steamed for dinner with shrimp-flavoured noodles & a sunny side-up egg 🥟🍜🍳 then, i tidied around the kitchen, showered, and went to bed with dalma's house to decorate in "animal crossing" 🐾
