☆ One Piece characters favorite fashion brands they would wear ☆
This turned into a bit of a fashion analysis hc so the title might be a bit misleading, hehe oops.
Anyway, I only included the characters who’s styles are my favorites in this, but everyone has their own cool and unique style in one piece so I’ll make a part 2 if anyone wants me to! Just tell me the characters you wish to see ❤︎
Featured characters: Nico Robin, Nami, Buggy the Clown & Dracule Mihawk
Cool and elegant with a touch of danger. A true femme fatale with her own unique punk streak. Her very existence is a rebellion agains the government, so naturally, that spirit will bleed into her choice of expression. Her fashion would be a statement and a challenge against the status quo, but it still remains a perfect balance between provocative and classy.
Ofc her vast interest in archeology will also play a huge part in her wardrobe, especially her choice in jewelry. Expect to find a lot of ancient symbols and even bird skulls cast in gold to give her that shique goth vibe.
Conclusion: A huge Vivienne Westwood fan, but also similar alternative brands like Alexander McQueen, Dior & Dolce & Gabbana.
Nami seriously never misses with her outfits. While she’s definitely a bit of a fashionista in certain aspects, I think her mix between girly and tomboy with a rebel twist makes her style just as cool and unique! She’s the fashionable gal that everyone wants to dress like and be like. She’d probably make a great model and influencer in our world…
I can also see her being great at both modifying and turning old clothes on their last legs into something equally fashionable (because most of her clothes cost a fortune so like hell she’s gonna throw any of them away). She’ll turn a ratty skirt into a handbag in a heartbeat.
Her style is simply iconic and is giving beautiful girlboss delinquent.
Conclusion: Thrifts a lot of the fashion brands that are currently ”in”. Probably uses thrift stores like Depop where she can get cheaper deals on brands like chrome hearts & Westwood. Responsible for bringing back a lot of 90s fashion trends like graphic tees.
The genius jester who oozes charisma has to look the part, so it’s a good thing this guy has performance in his DNA…
His form of self expression coorelates with his mood, which is as chaotic as the sea, and certainly not for everyone. However, it’s recognizable. It’s unique and so undeniably Buggy the Clown.
His love for tinkering has a natural way of bleeding into his fashion, and all of his outfits are modified to add an extra ✨flare✨ or to be thought-provoking (his marineford outfit is a perfect exemple and still my all time favorite).
Buggy has a rebellious fashion expression, but where Robin’s outfits remain within the elegant spectrum, Buggy’s naturally lean more towards the avantgarde and flashy. It’s certain to wake strong reactions in either direction, but at least it makes him memorable, which is all he wants.
Conclusion: Buggy would mostly thrift his clothes and modify them until they are unrecognizable. Rather than having a favorite brand, he’s the closest person on this list to actually create his own. He would like Vivien Westwood a lot though, and he likes to merge punk rock, circus and ofc classic pirate themes.
Also a big supporter of small independent artists with an unique style.
Mihawk is a man with refined taste and an appreciation for the classic arts, so it’s natural that he incorporates the aesthetics into his wardrobe. His style is a subtle nod towards victorian gothic, but his dislike for extravagance results in a more toned down version. It’s simple, elegant and classy with a touch of memento mori.
Somewhat of an organized maximalist who has a decent collection of jewelry and accessoaries (ofc lace-up corsets and leather harnesses), but wearing too many at once is an inconvenience and has the risk of turning him into some living ridiculous artwork, like Buggy.
Well versed in historical fashion trends and its dark history (especially the 19th century). Has a morbid streak which makes an appearance in the form of blood-vial necklaces (would be into wearing it instead of an engagement ring, or he’d want a mourning ring; ofc it depends on how freaky his partner is).
Conclusion: Very picky on clothing brands, but he strikes me as someone who’d know where to get authentic historical clothing. Might thrift outfits previously used in theatres or operas (but his standards for which places sells them would be high). Obviously loves chrome hearts, but very fond of independent jewelry crafters. Supports small unique brands and artists found in street markets.
I realised halfway through writing this that I actually don’t know that many fashion brands, so this was the extent of my knowledge. Hopefully it was worthwhile reading anyway, and ofc you’re welcome to offer your own insight! ❤︎
