One of my friends has never watched the anime in her life, but sheâs really hooked on the live action, and she texted me yesterday like: âWhatâs wrong with that fucking clown guy and the other guy heâs always talking about??? Girl, heâs worse than *insert our other friendâs name* with her annoying ex.â

Summary: You need some time away, what can you use to distract them.Â
Notes: silly, silly little storiesÂ
A/N: i hope you guys enjoy!! i really like coming up with these! lmk if you have any ideas on what other characters to do or what their cocomelonâs might be.Â
this is mostly proofread, but mistakes may persist! thanks so much for reading!!
Portgas D. Ace: A Blanket
âAce, I gotta go babe.â You had been struggling to get out of his embrace for twenty minutes.Â
âBut youâre so comfyyyy,â he pouted, snuggling into your further.Â
You knew this day would come, when he would forget all reason, when no amount of logic could get him to let you leave the bed for your meeting, when your secret weapon would finally need to be deployed.Â
âSweet cheeks, did I ever show you the new blanket I got?â
âHmm I donât think so.â
âHere, check it out.â You reached under your bed to pull out the blanket you had been hiding under there for months. âIsnât it soft.â You carefully wrapped it around him, careful to make sure you didnât get trapped once more in his embrace.
As he pulled it tighter around his shoulders he exclaimed âThis is amazing!!â
Before you could even begin to explain that it had been made from a rare wool and you had gotten it in orange just for him he was already asleep, snoring loudly with drool hanging from his mouth.
With a small smile, a pat to his head, and a chuckle, you left to get your meeting. When you got back Ace was, predictably, still asleep so you pulled open the blanket and joined him for a warm afternoon nap.Â
Bartolomeo: Literally Anything LuffyÂ
âBarto, actually I think I want tââÂ
âAnd thens we could go over tâ the armory to check out some new weapons,â he spoke with a big grin, seemingly not hearing your words as continued to list out all the plans he had for your day, despite you telling him the night before that you wanted to wander the town solo.
You knew what he was doing. He knew what he was doing. The Barto Club had stopped for a scheduled resupply and Bartolomeo woke up keen on staying by your side, acting more clingy than usual today. You, on the other hand, just wanted the day to yourself. Luckily, you knew a trick that could easily distract your man for at least an hour â more if you were having a lucky day.Â
âWhat was that?â You perked up suddenly, getting his attention.Â
âWhat was what dollface?â He asked confused, looking around.
âI thought I heard someone say Luffy was a loser..?â You feigned confusion and a tiny bit of anger when pretending to look around the market for the nonexistent culprit. âIt sounded like it came from over there,â you pointed towards a group of men on the outskirts of the market. They looked weak enough to not be too much of a problem but prideful enough to give Barto a hearty distraction should he get them started on a debate.
âTalkinâ bad about Mr. Luffy?!â Bartolomeo was already stomping his way over to the group who looked up confused.Â
âDonât get into too much trouble,â you called after him before setting about on your day around town.Â
When you were satisfied with your haul of local goods you returned to where you had left Barto, finding him harassing a new group of islanders with his retelling of the time he got to meet Mr. Luffy. âPoor people,â you thought as you walked up to Barto and grabbed his wrist, pulling him back to the ship.Â
âHey!â He reacted.
âBarto,â you turned to him batting your eyes, âwill you tell me again about how you helped Ms. Robin climb the plateau?â
He immediately started in on his story, seemingly forgetting that you were there for the entire event. You didn't mind though, you loved hearing him passionately recount the tales of the Strawhat crew. I mean, they are amazing after all.Â
Buggy: Give him a reason to put on a show
âBugs, Iâll only be gone for a couple of hours.âÂ
âExactly! Who knows what sort of troubles you could run into. That is why you simply must let me accompany you.âÂ
You loved Buggy. You loved his flair for the dramatics, his confidence, his silky hair, but right now, when all you wanted was a few hours of alone time, you wanted to wring his neck.
You took a deep sigh, rubbed your temples, and decided it had to be done
Turning to face him you set out to put on the performance of your life. âYouâre so right dear. You absolutely have to come with me, but,â you took a step back and looked down at your clothes, âif I go out dressed like this Iâm afraid Iâll dim your shine.â You threw in a pout for good measure.Â
âDonât be ridiculous, youâre dazzling in everything, even when next to me.â
âOh but Bugs, I would feel so much better if I had a new outfit.â You batted your eyes. âDo you think you might be able to find me one dear? I simply can't go out in this.âÂ
âHmm a costume redesign is not a bad idea⌠Anything for my co-star!! Wait right here! Donât go anywhere, I shall return in no time with an outfits for us both that will blind the gods!â He ran off in his usual theatrical fashion.Â
Watching him go you gave him a soft smile and a small wave, waiting until he was well off the ship before you threw on your cloak, grabbed your book, and headed straight for the cute cafe you had seen by the shore, desperately ready to find a quiet corner to read in peace.Â
You were able to sit there for almost two hours before you saw Buggy, followed quickly by Cabaji and Mohji, each carrying at least ten bags each, head back towards the ship. You took one last sip of your drink, thanked the barista, and made your way back to the ship, preparing yourself for the fashion show you knew you would now star in.
âDoll, there you are! This island is overflowing with fashion fit for stars, my love! I got one of everything I could. Now, what would you like to try on first?â
Roronoa Zoro: Tell him Sanji was talking shit
âZo, Iâm just gonna be a minute I promise.âÂ
âIn shark infested waters? No wayâ
You knew he wasnât really worried about that. Zoro was having quite the clingy day, barely leaving your side, so when you told him you were gonna go swim with Nami he started immediately listing reasons why you simply couldnât go, it was just too dangerous without him. You should just stay by his side and nap instead.
You adored when Zoro was clingy as it didnât happen very often, but finding time to enjoy a secluded beach was just as rare, if not more. Not to mention Nami would kill you if she found out you ditched her for Zoro.Â
You offered a silent apology to Sanji in your head before sending Zoro on a faux mission.Â
âDid Sanji ever talk to you?â
Your sudden subject change confused him slightly. âWhat could that love cook possibly need to talk to me about?â
âI think he said something about offering you tips to help your form? Soemthign about how you had been slacking lately.â
âSLACKING!?â Zoro didnât even offer you a second glance before storming off to fight with poor Sanji.Â
âOh youâre good,â Nami said, sliding up beside you, hands on her hips as she nodded impressed.Â
âLetâs just go before one of them finds out I lied.â You laughed, pulling her off towards the water.
