I can't lie and say this is another AU I've never thought of haha!
I can really see this being a universe Grian feels extra guilt ridden about the whole "accidental mating" incident. He would really believe as an alpha who pleaded for his omega friend to stay for their sudden rut/head, he would have been entirely responsible for what happened (meanwhile Scar is trying to assure him he's not angry, and kinda internally doing a victory dance but he doesn't want Grian to know. The alpha feels horrible enough, he doesn't want to make him think he was trapped into this arrangement).
Grian would be more determined to break the bond, thinking it's the right thing to do by Scar. Leaving Scar just as broken hearted as he was in the canon universe thinking Grian doesn't want him. Except as he wallows in self-misery, Scar unknowingly finds himself binge eating more sweet treats than normal - he blames it on his normal hormonal cravings going out of whack combined with heartbreak.
Grian notices Scar putting on a little bit of weight, but doesn't say anything. Cause if he has to be honest... it's kinda giving him this *glow* he can't pinpoint.
Things would still come to a head and they would fight, and baby would still come early as she had in canon. This time tho it all happens within Scar's apartment, and Cub is present and extra protective - glaring at Grian the whole time 😭
This would still have a happy ending of course ❤️
