I genuinely love when a story makes up its own fable and then has current events within the story explicitly parallel the in-universe fable. The story I made up is just like the story I made up 🤯

I- okay but- but screens are solid? Cheeks are not? Last time I checked???

I love this website I can make the most normal possible post and still get replies from alternate realities. what are cheeks made out of in your world plasma?

Part of the reason it seems like streaming companies are constantly self-sabotaging is plain incompetence, but a big part of it is because they literally are. A lot of entertainment industry executives are overgrown children who will go out of their way to deliberately torpedo each other's projects simply because they didn't think of it first, even if they're cutting their own throats by doing so because it's their own company's project.

"Why would they spend a hundred million dollars on this show only to deliberately bury it" well, based on past performance, likely because the guy who currently has the most influence over promotion and scheduling is trying to kill literally everything that wasn't his idea and doesn't care if he bankrupts the company in the process.

Why didn't this used to happen

It happened in network television all the time. It just seems like a new problem because pre-Internet most people would never become aware that the shows that got deliberately buried ever existed in the first place.

"Time to go beast mode" I say as I curl up into a ball, wrapped up in blankets, with my plushies and listening to soothing sounds for sleep .

i get why people don't believe in marriage as a social construct but legally it is the best and easiest way to say "this is who i trust to take care of me when i can't take care of myself" and i'm so glad gay people fought for that right bc when shit gets scary at least i know im in good hands
