the second the referee blew the whistle to call full time, y/n let out a sigh of relief. from a few feet away, trinity laughed at the american captain’s reaction as she walked towards her.

“your girlfriend is a tough one.”

“trust me, i know.” y/n laughed as she wrapped her arms around the forward. “but i wasn’t gonna let her get away with winning.”

“you’re crazy.” trinity laughed in response. the two remained in a hug until from the corner of her eye she saw a familiar midfielder walking towards them. “well, i’ll take my leave. i’ll see you in the locker rooms later?”

“obviously, we need to make our post-match tiktok.”

the forward patted her shoulder before unwrapping herself from y/n. she gave alexia a nod and a smile before walking away.

“you’re so annoying sometimes, you know that right?”

y/n snorted at the catalans words. she shrugged as a smirk crept up onto her lips. “yeah but you love it so who really cares.”

as much as she wanted to jump on alexia and kiss her pink soft lips, she also knew there were at least 5 cameras on them recording their exchange. and with alexia not being big on pda, the two refrained from anything more than a smile.

alexia nudged y/n’s shoulder with hers as they slowly walked together towards the tunnel. “you did great today, amor.”

“so did you, ale.”

“i did better, no?”

“ale.”

“y/n- ow!” alexia furrowed her eyebrows up as she rubbed the spot on her forehead where y/n had just flicked her. the catalan looked back at her girlfriend before reaching over and flicking the top of her head.

y/n reached over to try to flick alexia again but the catalan ran away. with a gasp, she shouted, “ale, get back here!”

“come and get me!” alexia shouted back as she disappeared into the tunnel with y/n close behind.

“alexia, this isn’t fair! we just played a full 90!” y/n whined, running after the catalan.

a few feet away stood vicky and eva, watching the couple. “$10 alexia’s not coming back to the hotel with us tonight.” the youngest of the two immediately said the other could say anything.

eva groaned as she threw her head back, “that’s a guaranteed $10!”
