I genuinely do not care if someone identifies as a bi/pan/omni lesbian. Like, it literally is not hurting me or anyone else (even though so many people act like it does). You wanna know why I feel this way?

Simple. All historical elements of the bisexual and gay/lesbian communities having MANY overlapping experiences in the past aside, acting like someone who’s trying to find themselves, even if they’re using two ‘contradictory’ identities to define how they feel about their sexuality/gender, is the cause of your oppression when it’s actually just the usual cisheteronormative way society has always treated us for not being cishet is ridiculous to me.

It’s not the fault of someone online calling themselves a bi lesbian that I don’t have easy access to HRT and basic LGBTQ+ related resources in a rural area. It’s not the fault of someone online calling themselves a pan lesbian that cishet men think they’re entitled to all women’s bodies and lives. It’s not the fault of someone calling themselves an omni lesbian online that LGBTQ+ people’s rights are being toyed with, constantly.

All of these issues would exist REGARDLESS of how someone is identifying. All of these issues would still be there even if there weren’t any folks calling themselves ‘mspec lesbians’.

Cishet men ain’t hollerin’ at y’all because of ‘bi lesbians’. They’re hollerin’ because they’re entitled cishet men in a cisheteronormative society that teaches them, from a young age, that they are entitled to ALL women’s bodies, time, and lives.
